  1. Post up if you're interested in coming to this Tuesday's meetup, I know a few regulars can't make it so not sure if I'll go. I do need to discuss the trip to toronto as well as our own tournament, but that can always be done on thursday so w/e.
  2. Yo we might have two cars of people coming to the feb 4th event. Keep your community alive at least until then, k?
  3. No problem, I find it really helpful myself when I'm looking for help with a matchup. Big part of the thanks should go to pktazn and jourdal for reuploading all the nico content to youtube. (cause you I don't think you can timestamp or even skip forward in a nico video) Also updated the first post
  4. We're still discussing and debating that. I would really like it if I could finally remember to have a chat about it with the guys at a meetup but I keep dodging for terrible reasons.
  5. I wasn't implying that, just saying I like having footage of both of them... but wait a sec they play the same color, same setups, so maybe........

  7. I made a thread on sankishin so we can plan for upcoming out of town tournaments without having all the relevant posts scattered in this thread. Please go post here : http://www.sankishin.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=330#p330 if these tournaments interest you. About st1ckbug's post, I pretty much agree with everything he said. The Montreal scene is doing exceptionally well, and I'm proud of all of us. I'm not yet convinced that our games should be separated completely from the evo lineup games, but I do think that it's a possibility. If there was one thing I could add, it would be that the BB player demographic probably applies to some of the characters, I dunno I get the impression that people that main the same characters tend to have stuff in common, but that's completely irrelevant lol. Eh we were like 2 people per setup, on 4 setups, and we were asked to make room for more people, so we moved our stuff and became more on 2 setups. I understand and don't really mind, but I guess I'm the opposite of Rhannmah in this situation.
  8. Hm so if we go and get bodied it will revive the game for you guys? In there.
  9. I'll be there around 5. I have my stick, no ps3/game.
  10. Blade's schedule prevents him from coming to meetups too so you probably have something similar. Blade you could go to airmaster's place, it's a small walk from Joliette metro station, if you guys can't make it to foonzo or something.
  11. I'll be there. I'm already in montreal, dunno what time exactly I'll be at foonzo, but I have my ps3, stick, and game. Just don't have an hdmi cable.
  12. Valk has always been scary They should all still work, unless they involved stein explosions. Apparently some moves can come out faster than they used to (due to less hitstop I think?) but if you use the same timings as CS2 you should be fine.
  13. Barely, she lost corner Daisharin but instead has Kokushi Musou, which, unless I'm mistaken, leads to less damage but still 3+ high/lows. (at least no throw possibilities... yet?) Midscreen is still pretty similar, except her 4D[m] doesn't lead to corner carry combo anymore so I guess that's a good thing, and overall I think she has less corner carry because she lost the BCB loop, but still has some combos that carry. I guess you could, in reaction to midscreen daisharin, do an air super now, but I don't know if it would be worth the meter or not. So yeah besides litchi getting a bit weaker don't think much specific to this matchup changed.
  14. Well there's going to be a meetup on Sunday but tomorrow I have nothing to do, so maybe we could have some kind of meetup, doesn't have to be at foonzo. I also really want to try mbaacc against people.
  15. Not necessarily, the move has good range, so it can be used in anime footsies, but since it has less range than 5c for far opponents and slower than 2a for close opponents, so you need to be comfortable with when to use the move if you want to use it at neutral. It whiffs on crouch sometimes too. However a really practical but situational use is for crossup or fake crossup after an air throw that you don't RC. It's also air unblockable so if you manage to get someone blocking j.AAAAs in the air, you can land crossunder and 5b them.
  16. when you block inferno dividah
  17. @Airmaster : I think we could run Danisen on Sundays, as its our second "official" meetup day, but it depends on what we end up discussing. @Kaeru : Sounds like a challenge that I could accept, but I'd like to talk about software specifications a bit more. Oh yeah and yesterday's quote from Heartless :
  18. Gameplay is really similar except 2C changes will be annoying until you get used to them. Air DP is fun but I haven't got used to having the option yet Air super is really good to punish some stuff, like valk wolf abuse, haz chain abuse, air tsubaki install, etc. Well same purpose as when you did it on the ground except you can do it in the air now :D (yes this sounds like a dumb use, it's sometimes too slow, but it's not really risky, if it hits you get great damage and if the opponent blocks you get to go in for pressure, assuming you had enough steins placed) Explosion starters, one leads to low but okay damage, two leads to nothing 6C FC if you were doing 5D 214D 6B etc. that doesn't do good damage anymore, time to learn the real combos.
  19. Oh I was just saying that the 6a CH hitconfirm seemed like it could be optimal. Of course there's no such thing as an optimal blockstring It's just really good to have multiple ones so you don't get too predictable.
  20. So I started using H.H's blockstring (2a 6a 2b 2c etc) and so far it seems really good. Allows for some decent stagger pressure which makes the frame traps really effective. It even hitconfirms itself because 6a CH 2b whiff 2c 5c 6c habacan etc. seems like it could be optimal or close to it.
  21. Actually we're thinking about running a 0$ tournament at Nemesis, hopefully at least someone who doesn't play this game will give it a shot, since we're doing this for exposure anyways. GGs tonight, CSEX is so much fun. Here is the current state of our danisen league :
  22. I was gonna say this can't be from montreal, but then I heard tabarnak!
  23. Just reminding people we do have a meetup tonight and are planning to run a danisen on one of the stations. Be there!
  24. Don't mind kr3wman, he's the grumpy old man of Montreal. We ran AH3 at MAT8.
  25. starting position 3c CH dash 2c 5c 6c habacan 6a 6b 5c SoD 6a j.2c j.d 2b 5c 2c j.2c (4778) sometimes you need to dash between 6b and 5c if you're too far from the corner, but man dat corner carry slight improvement on the 214d corner when you're far enough corner 214d 6c SoD 6b 6a j.2c j.d 2b 5c 2c j.2c (3572) might be possible to add j.d 2b 5b 6a ]d[ j.2c enders but gee that thing is too hard for me atm, I only got it once in 3 sessions of training mode. Is there a trick to it? I remember CS1 habacan at first I could hardly every get it but then I started getting it more consistently towards the end, so maybe eventually I'll figure it out.
