  1. Just because everyone does it, doesn't mean it's good. If that we're true, 6C would be Terumi's best move! Airdash j.A is a one-way ticket to painsville if the opponent doesn't panic at the sight of a pouncing Relius.
  2. Oh, I'd just assumed they'd meant 1.1 Anyway, when is this change taking place? and are there any specific things mentioned in it? You know what they are always saying. Tager is dangerous from any distance and can play all the games at once. Zoning? in the bag. Presseure? You know he's got pressure. Rushdown? he owns that field.
  3. Apple's n' Avacados darlings. Why is Rachel even using j.A in any air to air when she's got wind, zoning tools n' stuff? And her 6A too for that matter. When you got a god normal like that and the opponent is jumping in, why join them up there? Anyway Necro, remember the teachings of Obi-Wan Kenobi. When you have the high ground you automatically win. Most characters don't have aerial hitboxes that hit immediately above them, so claim air superiority and use our air normal's outstanding air to ground hitbox to beat them up and steal their lunch money. That or get right under them and use j.B which hits slightly above. or if you're feeling creative we can preempt them with that j.6D/j.8D that we never use.
  4. How the heck did Rel go from most versatile in his tier to least and still stay in his tier? (Or, uh, relatively close, it's hard to tell.) Here's to hoping Id Zein is just that good. Anyhow, this is for 2.0 right? and just the first loketest at that right?
  5. The man says what we're all thinking.
  6. Errol, that's not our j.A...
  7. So is it wrong that I just don't like our OD? I see RYO use it to get 100% IG back in corner combos by doing 236C~214A>OD>5D>5C(2)>stuff>j.236C~214B, but we can do the same if not better with 50% gauge. Meanwhile we get Jin who's OD let's him do stuff like 5C>5C>5C>5C>22C>5C>3C>632146C for 4200 damage anywhere. I really wish OD buffed our C normals, our other command specials, or Ignis' damage. As it is now I feel it barely helps our neutral pressure mix-up Oki, or confirms, and If find myself, say after an overdrive reversal, doing the same Bnbs I normally do. Whenever I pop OD off of a 3C or ~214A for an OD combo, I end up using an outrageous amount of resources (Like 7000IG and 75% burst gauge) for what is only about 500-700 more damage. It feels like the output isn't worth cost. Maybe if she started regen-ing mid Ignis it might me worth it. >_> Buffs I'd like for OD. More damage on all of Ignis' moves. Regen starting after Ignis' actives pass, as opposed to her Recovery time elapsing. or sooner even 2D's armour on the 214X moves and 236D (This would be fantstic.) Less Relius start-up on the 214X series. Ignis' moves costing less. Something with Relius' normals or specials. A change to 2363214C (which we're getting!) 236236D comboing on air counter-hit the way it does in non OD on air counterhit. I'd like any of these things. If I got all of them, I'd be extatic.
  8. Should be called "aworselime" because that's going from bad to worse. ;^) I'd fight you ABL, but as evidenced by my previous statement I'm half asleep verging on full asleep.
  9. For me the only time was during a Nu's OD>236236Dx2>run-up and mix-up.
  10. How do you figure? didn't do much to 1.0 Koko's cycling pressure.
  11. Yeah, the words weren't coming to me. Go figure since I play Mr. frametraps himself. While we're on the subject, mAc you and I should do battle at your earliest convenience.
  12. One thing I would like changed is guard bonus. There's quite a few times where you have to stay defensive for 5+ seconds, but because there's "gaps" in the opponents offense you don't get paid. That's gaps in quotation marks because if you do anything during that time, they'll snap you like a twig. I don't know how they should change it, but it needs some tweaks if you ask me. Also if guard bonus gets activated (The way it is now) the opponent should stop getting heat, or the timer should halt or something extra to not make it super worthwhile.
  13. I assume you didn't mean to quote me prior to this?
  14. OBJECTION! I'd like to present the Kagura player Herodyne. He played online against me and my walmart tier net and managed to instant block 99% of all of my moves, which if you know relius pressure like I do, you should find commendable. It was at that point when I decided to face the music and learn to IB in netplay even through lagspikes. (I mean, with enough practice I could combo and even tiger knee consistently through lag, so why not IBs?)
  15. Die, burst, block mash, IB>CA. There are a few options. None as good as a DP character's. I've discovered blocking isn't that bad at all, with the exception of getting timed out by a Litchi I forgot to counter assault, I find that blocking the full 20 seconds of a character's mix-up can be a cathartic and worthwhile use of time. You get a steady gain in meter and if they Rapid to continue their string or run on any sort of drive gauge, those resources too can be drained. Also when your opponent exhausts their encyclopedia of tricks to no avail, it kinda shakes them, especially when you turn it around with a jab into oki. The only problem you run into is characters like Kokonoe and Amane who punish even the best blocking with unavoidable damages. (I need a toutorial of how to exit various BH set-ups and a lengthy talk on how to beat up Amane.) The defensive side is pretty mighty just with the power of basic blocking. So long as a character's offensive powers don't overstep their bounds into being flatly unbeatable or truely unblockable (IE black hole situations for many cast members, Clap loop situations, airtight blockstrings that run the timer for more than 8 seconds) I see no big problem with offense. What I'm trying to say here is, there should always be a better alternative to putting down the controller and taking it. On the defensive side, we've got safe DPs, Koko's 6A, Noel's 4D (SWD showed me the truth called despair here.) and quite a few other potent tools. Relius' defense just happens to be his offense, for every second we're attacking them, they aren't attacking us.
  16. But Airk, Makoto is awful. Her Gameplay thread is titled "Makoto-level despair" for goodness sake. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's a single Makoto who's content where she is. EDIT: err, rather it was called that. It's now called "When's 2.0" which sorta reflects the same sentiment.
  17. New combo of sorts. Rising standing hit counter hit j.2D>airdash>j.C>j.2D>5A>6B>5C(1)>2C>6C>41236B>5B>5C(2)>sj>j.B>j.C>j.236C~j.214B>airdash [2938/+21HT/-3000IG] If they are any closer you can do falling j.C instead of airdash for the same effect, more damage and meter and less IG, but the above is for longer range confirms. On air counterhit you have enough time to land microdash and 5B>2C confirm. if you're mid-jump or falling during CHj.2D you can delay>airdash>j.B>j.C>665B>6B. Also important is 5K from 5A/2A : 5A/2A>5B>3C>236C~214A>665C(1)>j.C>j.236C~j.214B>j.B>2C>6C>4D>3C>2363214C+2D>5C(2)>OD>632146D [5138DMG/-100HT/-6000IG/-75%BST] ^Nice to know we can do half peoples health from our weakest move. If you don't use 2D you only miss 100 or so damage, so if you lack the extra 2K, then don't use it. If you cut off at the 3C as you should if you can't kill or don't have the gauge/OD then you get [3321DMG/+23HT/-3000IG]
  18. GGs SWD! I've learned you're as great as ever, and I need far more EXP with Nu Mu and Kokonoe. By-the-by if you ever need tips on that in progress Relish gameplay, and Lich or someone else a billion times better than me isn't available, shoot me a message. 19. Back from work and I find this!? U still 'ere dudebro? u wanna go? I'll do this rite now bruh.
  20. Have we met? Anyhow on the point of everyone getting nerfed or buffed, I'd lean on the side of buffs. I'd say Relius is a good point of how strong every character should be. Good in some situations weak in others, has weaknesses but can compensate for them in various ways. Most characters would do well to have one thing that's borderline broken, at least one thing that they're crap at, and have a good general set of tools. Relish has wonderful pressure, but cruddy mix-up, great Oki, but low max damage, good confirms but bad defense. He also has a good effort/success balance. I feel like if they didn't hurt valk's wolf meter too much and just took his pressure down a notch, while preserving his stellar mix-up and the okayish reward it reaped, he would have been another fine example.
  21. Will any of this Tofu Adachi zoning be useful?
  22. Someone fite me, I'll wrek u I swear 2 me mum.
  23. My suggestion is fight frame data with frame data. IB any part of his stagger pressure and you can 2A to turn the tables directly into 214B/j.214B/3C oki. I don't use barrier against Terumi, it doesn't keep him out.
  24. Yes, but this time the whole cast might potentially be altered behind the scenes. Sounds exiting. If this happens the Kusoge levels will skyrocket, but that might be fun too... I really wonder what they're doing.
  25. I'm more astonished at the complete lack of info. Wonder if they've switched testing to private testing... They're gonna have to do something if this is hitting arcades in the fall.
