  1. You know what you could also do in general though? If you knock an opponent down you can hop to them and do an overhead TK with Hakumen. Haku's 2A is an amazing jab, don't be afraid to try doing mixup games with that on opponent waking up, you can option for more pressure doing an overhead or his low special. Mix in grabs and you're golden with your oki game :D

  2. Oh, personally as a Nu I don't like rolling out of the corner too much against Hakumen. If you knock me in the corner and I roll out, you can do that double kick special and combo me and fuck me over again. I think you can also use some of Hakumen's C attacks to hit me if I roll out. I might roll out if I think it's safe enough or you aren't high on stars. Set the training dummy to tech forward and test out things yourself. I'd rather tech up Don't you remember how much I rush up with 2B on oki? If I land it and have 50 meter thats tons of free damage And no, I don't think mashing 5A while you're waking up works, pretty sure it gets you countered for tons of meterless damage If you roll on me and I go for the TK cresent I jump the wrong way and do a jump D instead. That risks a 2B if you guess wrong.

  3. Who's getting knocked down, Nu or Hakumen?

  4. Yeah, it got a little laggy but it happens. Trust me, it's not your connection it's mine, the college servers get bad since so many people go on at once. My connection back home is much better but the NAT setting is also stricter Alex...did alright. He tries to zone me too much and relies too much on pumpkin. He frustrated me a lot from all the running away but he wasn't bad

  5. Hey Cakeh, I have to study a little bit for a final tomorrow but I'll be on tonight if you wanna practice. You could also go into training and set the dummy to tech forward out of the corner

  6. I played Pulsr some more today, this time he and I were going almost 50/50. I know I can't take it too seriously, it was online with lag, and he was using Ragna and possibly trolling. I was honestly more happy about how well I was doing against him than winning, was happy to see I had improved so much. Was pretty happy to play him, I get pretty bored and depressed playing people online after him. I can feel myself getting better just from playing with him, I have so many holes in my game that I need to work on, he's showing them to me, I just need to figure out how to go about it and fix them I go on ranked and wait a while, I guess. I don't play anyone below lv 40 and even then it's eh. I'll accept purple connections. Made a player room today and had fun.

  7. MAAAAAAAAAAC. So, last night Pulsr was on. He was crushing and trolling me at first. Then I started adjusting and I was winning a lot against his Ragna. Really made me happy, I was baiting shit, mixing shit up, etc. It's only his sub and online so it doesn't mean that much, but it was the first time I ever did so well against him. I felt like I learned from just the few games we had last night. Winning the final round in our last game with him rushing down and stuffing his 5B with Nu's 2A>2B>3C felt epic as hell, since it was the final round with no barrier or health on both our parts. Had I pressed anything but 2a I would have lost, since he was closing the gap too quick to throw out a C attack. I'm working hard on using more close up tools with Nu.

  8. Give me an invite to a good player room next time. My college lately has been having really bad connection. I'm back home in a few weeks though, took forever before I could play with that Alex67391 guy

  9. Hey, Cake, forgot to mention this to you yesterday, and your posts with QWERTY made me remember it. It's about your oki game. I noticed a lot you were allowing me to get out of the corner. You know how I dash up to you and throw out 2B's when you're on the floor? Tao has one of her own, I think it's her 5B. (the knee attack). If you nail me with that while I roll that hits with an extra 1500-3000 damage. I remember XDest started applying it to me, which meant I got stuck in corners more which meant I fucked up blocking while pinned for more damage. Try practicing it, it'll make you tons better like you won't believe. It's a lot more useful than 6C for wakeup oki since it's fast, only thing bad is the short range

  10. Hey, did you give Rin the upload yet or save it? I don't want to replace the replay on the boards if it's not

  11. I hope it does, it's been nearly unplayable the past two days and I'm really desperate in practicing my close up pressure with her. College is over in about two weeks though, my connection is SOOOOOOOO much better at home, but the NAT setting are much more strict as well

  12. Ah, alright, you sounded pretty angry in that message No, I know what match you're talking about with the multiple 2Cs, I was getting pretty fed up with the lag and was hoping to land a desperate 2C. Besides, don't forget, I landed some anti airs against you with 6A and stopped some of your pressure with some of Nu's A and B attacks. The lag was pretty bad though, didn't you notice I was getting nailed with more shit than usual? Althoug, I'll admit, when you threw that baseball and pounced super on me, I fell for that like a scrub, lol I agree with you though, 2C is too powerful in CT. I think it might be why Lambda isn't too great against Tao in CS, apparently it's a shitty matchup for me. I'm probably gonna replace some of those 2C's with her 236C anti air in CS for 4000 though.

  13. Whoa, don't get angry, dude Did you notice how atrocious the lag was? I couldn't really do that much or even react well, I couldn't even backdash right against your 6Cs. You were catching me with more stuff than usual from how bad it was, didn't you notice? (my college's connections been really bad these past two days.) Don't call me a predictable spammer because of some shitty lag, would rather keep things friendly

  14. I know. I'm not saying he's necessarily better than Minori. He's really fun to watch and was Taiwan's SBO representative. I think Inoue played a unique Nu, I can believe AZU can with Lambda as well, very different from the others I've seen, by far
  15. Does anyone have vids of the Taiwan Lambda Player, Azu? I watched his stuff (could only find 3 of him) and I find him WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more fun to watch than Minori's. It actually made me think how stiff his is compared to this guys. Would love to watch more vids of this guy, I think he's the Lambda I wanna base my play off of
  16. When the lag for me clears up you and I could do some sparring if you'd like. I used to almost never beat any Tao's until XDest. Maybe ya could work on mixups and your pressure game with me if you'd like And yeah, the vid I just uploaded is neat, would totally be cool to share it.

  17. Urg, I can't believe how out of hand that thread got. It was angering and embarrassing all at the same time. Anyway, I wasn't sure if you took requests for uploading stuff on youtube...but is there any chance you could upload the current fight I have on my leaderboard into that VV blog you have in that thread with Haruku? It was a game against Yuri. I was not too happy about everything in that post and kinda been venting through some BB

  18. I guess i'm mistaking some mixups and such as gimmicks. I'm not about to abuse pulsar's, I'm not that crazy about teleportation in CT unless it's to get out of a corner and away from attacking range And I meant to say Keir meant j.214D, dash, anti air with 6A Trying CS in pitt would be pretty neat, I have little oppurtunity to play pro's like that
  19. Thanks for the reply, Xie I totally agree with ya that gimmicks shouldn't be purely relied on, and what will work on one opponent won't work on others. I was watching Minori and he knocked down Kahn, did an early 236A and nailed him with the second part of 4B. I'm not a fan of 4B though so not too sure I'd use something like that I'm totally about abusing TKs and TK feints in CT and hoping to bring that to CS. It's really gimmicky and has risk, but if you instill enough fear the reward outweights the risk. I'm hoping there's some neat tricks to abuse in CS, I know there's gotta be some potential to abuse some things and have it work moderately well consistently. Hell, I'm waiting to test out oki games of TK feint>236C and the likes of that. 2B>dash>grab is one of my favorite gimmicks, it's so high risk but it's rarely ever punished except by scrubs desperately mashing I think Keir mentioned not hitting the opponent with 236D in the air and rushing to them on the ground with a 6A in hopes of anti airing them. Haven't tested this one so it could be a garbage idea for all I know I just see some of the better players on live and the pro's throw a few out once in a while, and I feel like it's an important aspect to incorporate. Not to say it should be abused or relied on, but it makes players stronger. We should definitely decide on some resets and gimmicks that are viable and use them. I loved Reria's gimmicky CT Nu and I certainly am heavily influenced from PSN's Nu Dotsafety, he got me into being a rushdown Nu with gimmicks that don't involve Act pulser. I was hoping to find more vids of Pulsr's Nu/Lambda, he's really aggressive, I'm sure he uses some gimmicks (wisely and sparingly, of course). I was actually having a lot more fun watching Pulsr's Lambda and the Taiwan Lambda, they were more wreckless than Minori's but much more entertaining to watch, Minori just plays really safe and solid (but way above most of the JP Lambda's)
  20. No, but thanks for totally being useful in the Lambda boards Pretty frustrating. Have you guys checked the other board sections for the other BBCT/CS characters? Their communities are a lot more helpful in general than the Nu/Lambda boards. They also share more ideas and support one another, kinda discouraging to be in the Lambda boards, it's like this board is only good for learning the combo's and that's it, even the matchup info is lacking Not really sure why you felt the need to troll me and be an ass when I thought it'd be a good idea to share ideas of gimmicks, pressure resets, etc. Sometimes these things aren't easily seen on vids without some explanation to them, etc.
  21. No. Nu/Lambda's TK mindgames themselves are gimmicks, and they're pretty damn viable. Reria loved that gimmick Tager has tons of gimmicks and resets Jin has tons of gimmicks, one that pops in my head is instead of finishing a corner combo he goes for a jab and grabs into another 3000-4000 damage combo if the opponent resets in the air, wasn't that something Ren liked to do? Not sure why you're being so condescending, some gimmicks are viable and you do see good players use them partially as mixups (more from American players, the Japanese play it safe). Even purposely leaving some holes in your blockstrings to do some more pressure and mixups is a gimmick itself
  22. these arent gimmicks, just bad ideas
  23. Yo, be my friend *flashes gang sign?*

  24. Players who have had extensive gameplay with Lambda should create a topic with useful and viable gimmicks. They don't win games alone, but they certainly help with mind games, I'd really love to see them; stuff like TK cresent and Teleportation is gimmicky, now I wanna see what she has to really to show her stuff. She certainly has the tools, I wanna see the creative things she can do in battle
  25. Oh, absolutely, it's crucial to her. I'm gonna really try to learn to abuse cavalier and guard breaks, etc. She'll actually have blockstrings too! Should be nice
