Though, a list of questions to ask would be helpful in this situation, I don't mind taking the lead on this one and helping out a bit with the community. blk_mage Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I understand the desire to be fair about venue location, but to be honest, planning for Concord or Davis sounds like a bad idea to me. The majority of the NCI crowd is from the lower part of the bay and so I think it makes complete sense that we've been planning primarily for south bay or slightly up the east bay/peninsula. I think going further up the east bay/north bay is a step towards being more fair, but I'm not sure if it's the most reasonable choice when it might noticeably affect attendance. I'll probably end up going to wherever it is though. Maybe there's more people in other parts of the state that just don't come out to SJSU because it's too far. Maybe moving it will actually get more people involved.

On that note, can you bring some Sac players this time maybe? Maybe some new faces can enter the scene since this is a possible closer venue. Oh, and if someone makes a ranbat poster, I can post it at StarBase Arcade. It gets a lot of Street Fighter faces out there, and according to Bob they ask about the previous NorCal Install poster a lot. Maybe we can hype this up.

I've been mulling over other possible venues such as GameKastle, but I feel they might not fit our needs. Just litmus testing for how much the turnout would be if we held it in Davis. ~Chun

I only live about 20-30 minutes away, and I can always make blk mage go with me :3 Also you can count me out for davis too far away for me to do traveling so close to finals and a test. And I HAVE to do them otherwise I don't graduate. I'd rather skip a month of not going to a ranbat than fail my classes and not be able to graduate. You'd have to get Spirit Juice to run BB. If he's busy Coopa might be able to do it.
