All of my approval. would you say that you're platinum mad at them? Also, all of you Jin bros are aware of this, right?: I SEEE... ISEE EVERYTHING NOW... ALL THE MOTIVES ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR..... AS CLEAR AS YUKIANESA'S ASTRAL RENGOKU HYOUYA EIEN NI ITETSUKU I will never let this go... Edited March 20, 2012 by MetalMaelstrom
Chris Chaos Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 (edited) you midwestern folk have very unique asian ppl :o I was living in Virginia when that happened. So you might as well include EC too lol. I've been grinding and working on my execution issues with Jin as of late, so I can play my best when the time comes fot PowerUp. I've always come close to getting first but I could never get it so I've been busting my ass to make getting First a reality. I would be pushing for first in KOF too but I know Sparkster is gonna be there and I don't have a chance in hell beating him ATM, lol. One day i will but not right now. EDIT: I didn't know Jin was black and had a command grab that chokes a bitch. Edited March 20, 2012 by Shinsyn
Chaoschao222 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Moy = my new favorite mod. Banning people for talking shit about Bayonetta? All of my approval. HEY! I threatened to do it first, and this isn't even my domain.
Lucien Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Seeing the Odd Future Tape Vol. 2 pop up in the ads makes me happy. Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All Don't Give A Fuck Litter Life Loiter Squad Butt Fuck Bitch Niggas
Jourdal Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 This. Only character general thread I frequent, and I don't even play the man. Our character is so much of a dick we dont have to be !
Moy_X7 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 would you say that you're platinum mad at them? Watashi wa puratina okotte imasu (dat broken Romanji) Also, ngggggh, dat avatar. What show is that from?
MetalMaelstrom Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai for short). I think it's from the second or third episode when they're playing a VN on a playstation or something. Nice S;G avy you've got there. Edit: If only the whole Bayonetta discussion would have happened in the Platinum the Trinity general thread... It could have been a three-way pun in reference to Platinum Games, Platinum the Trinity, and Tsukihi's Platinum madness. So close, yet so far away from pure genius... If only I had the power of a genius like Yuushiro... >that feel when you will never see all the motives being crystal clear, clear as yukianesa's astral rengoku hyouya eien ni itetsuku... Solex Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 anyone want to discuss match ups? i would start but i don't really know where to start
Moy_X7 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I've played an extensive set of matches against the local Lambda here so I guess I could give that one a go.
xlolxlolx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 uh i played a good amount semi lag free games with some of the top japs on vita if dat counts for anything :D
Solex Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 instant blocking jins 5b is hacks #jin has no pressure :{ EDIT: if you have anything to add lol id appreciate it lag free or not
xlolxlolx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 not rly :o 5b>5c shud be airtight btw how much did u improve since cs1? just curious
Solex Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) i didn't know what the fuck was going on in cs1 lol like i could do combos and that was it lol but ya 5b>5c is airtight (but so is 5b>2b) then you have to reset pressure by jumping or doing something else dangerous, what basically pisses me off is if the opponent has at least a 6 frame jab if they instant block 5b the only possible reason why they should be scared of mashing is if jin does 5b>j.2c at least in cs1 instant blocked 5b>5c was a frame trap at least i think it was. the thing about it is, it is difficult bc the opponent has to be comfortable enough to be able to let go of down back where 5b>2b would have already come out if i gatling it and start mashing. if i tried 5b>2c frame trap i would get jabbed if not they would still be in blockstun or the jin did the afore mentioned 5b>JC>j.2c which is probably character specific EDIT: this was also true in cs2 but jin had things to make up for it its funny because i thought i knew about this but i never really thought about and now im like what is jin good for??? hopefully someone can shed some light on this and prove me wrong :D Edited March 21, 2012 by Solex
xlolxlolx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) well 5b>2c is pretty bad now since 2c is garbage starter now, but before this version you would pretty much mix it up with jump, backdash, dp, and throw if they were mashing you out of the frame trap since chances are that theyre not worrying about teching a throw if theyre busy mashing. ehhh jin's pressure was never really that great, pretty much the same as it was before and isnt 5b>j.2c only for tager. pretty much back to cs1 with the gimmicks now, but 5b is pretty much his most versitile move, goes into pretty much everything on block and core of his baiting game. meh, theres alot of stuff i do instinctively Edited March 21, 2012 by xlolxlolx
Solex Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 hmm well mashing a 6frame move beats throw but your kinda right it really isn't as bad as i thought and 5b is still good
xlolxlolx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 well if you know theyre mashing you should do purple throw on purpose to train them to respect your pressure, thats pretty much the only reason why stuff like 6d and 6b pressure resets work lol

Oh wait, I still do that.
Chris Chaos Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 So yeah... did any of you guys know that you can 623b through gold burst and punish? Because I just did that in a player room after baiting a green burst.
ShelledMenace Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Wait...so if you time it perfectly you can get both the burst whiff + the B fubuki hitting them? 'Cause that sounds godlike . _ .
Chris Chaos Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Wait...so if you time it perfectly you can get both the burst whiff + the B fubuki hitting them? 'Cause that sounds godlike . _ . Yes, I have a saved replay of it. I'll upload it tomorrow after my final if you really wanna see it.
Moy_X7 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I did that against someone's Green Burst, didn't Yomi it, he just Bursted at the wrong time. I'm pretty sure he could have punished me had he reacted sooner though lol.
Rewenger Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I think 623D is better at punishing bursts. And looks cooler, lol.
ShelledMenace Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Well damn, when that happens and they burst and my fubuki whiffs, it's never been able to last long enough to actually still hit them. If it's not too much trouble Shin, I'd kinda like to see it lol. Also, yeah hirensou is better for punishing, but that's more if you actually bait the burst/react to it, rather than something like them bursting in the middle of your combo and then your 623B whiffs and you're like

Chaoschao222 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 @ Moy: Is your avatar a character from the Neo Ranga series? His avatar is Shiro from Deadman Wonderland, but she does share a very similar appearance to individuals in Neo Ranga due to her outfit.
