Vordoxen Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Give every character their own astral theme? :P Guess we'll have to see if we can change astral theme song in BBCP Console version.
Errol Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 What I do a lot (air block or hit) is do an air grab. If it works they're dropped on Ignis get hit and are sent back at you for a tasty TRM. then I just loop air grab. I've gotten upwards of 6000 damage off of this, and if it misses, the worst that happens is that they drop right into ignis pressure as she is currently attacking where the opponent is going to land after the grab break. It's also fun to air grab an opponent that is dumb enough to think that they can simply air dash over Dio Bios, that way you can start this whole scenario with a green grab! just no. jump forward, take 1 hit, air tech forward, and you are out, golden. tech an air throw and you're in neutral with the doll behind you. This shit is fraudulent and noone should be getting hit by it.
Rhiya Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Okay, I seem to have used a shitty (or at least confusing) example because I haven't played this game in so long. Just imagine I said Relius 214C instead. @Rachel's IOH being safe: that's actually fine, since the damage is so weak, and her defensive options suck.
TD Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 @Rachel's IOH being safe: that's actually fine, since the damage is so weak, and her defensive options suck. the bigger picture is that the fastest overhead in the game is also the safest. who cares if you only get 1-3k max off it when you can keep doing it with impunity. and, each time rachel does an IOH your life gets worse. unless waking up to a pumpkin/frog is not considered scary anymore? in which case i'd like to change that. Why can't he convert into an air combo? it's just a medicore use of meter. as errol said it's easy to escape mid blockstring, air combo does not do it justice especially without ignis. if you want to use duo bios effectively, do it on oki when the opponent has less that 40% health, or you have 100 meter.

Safest when done off one normal. That's easy enough to call out or block if it gets repetitive. And, really, no one's even said how it's safe. No gaps at all? Frametraps? No gaps on normal block and IB? And, really, a character as momentum-heavy as Rachel has more than enough reasons to have an option like that, and more than enough reasons to not use it all match (since the reward is low compared to other options). I'm also assuming it's a bit of an equalizer, since Rachel has a huge hitbox and is easier to fuck with mixups. ...Out of curiosity, how many fuzzies does Rachel have to deal with because of her hitbox?
kodimt Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 jA is retarded, end of story. If you want more discussion on it, ask on the Rachel thread.

Myoro Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 just no. jump forward, take 1 hit, air tech forward, and you are out, golden. tech an air throw and you're in neutral with the doll behind you. This shit is fraudulent and noone should be getting hit by it. No no, I start the grab while the opponent is in the hitstun from the first hit leading to a purple throw. but before I grab I do an air dash to push the opponent ahead, out of Ignus' range (so that if the break happens they'll fall lovingly into ignus' claws when she catches up) I get that this wont work on any players with intelligence or reaction speed above that of molasses, but all the same you'd be astonished how often it can win a high pressure game. I get that it is INCREDIBLY trollish and not a good Idea in general, but I still go for it sometimes.
Givinguponlife Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Is Kagura's stage the only new stage confirmed for the console version. Also is mu's stage and the morning version of the port the only stages returning?
darkasjinksu§ Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 (edited) Is Kagura's stage the only new stage confirmed for the console version. Also is mu's stage and the morning version of the port the only stages returning? I think it's safe to assume all the new stages from the arcade version will be coming to console. The way you worded it makes it sound like there's only 3 stages (Only 2 returning and one new). Also, questions should be asked in the questions thread. Edited August 7, 2013 by darkasjinksu§
Tokkan Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 (edited) http://blazblue.jp/topics.html#topics532 Another playtest event with Terumi. This time at Sofmap Akihabara Amusement Building, Floor 1 Shop on August 11. Edit: A few short gameplay clips of Terumi and Kagura showed up in Episode 11 of Bururaji H. (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1375434128) The Terumi clips are around 39:14 and the Kagura clips are around 47:47. Kagura's theme was also playing in the background while they were introducing Kagura in the early parts of the episode. Edited August 8, 2013 by Tokkan
SolxBaiken Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Kagura confirmed for shit-tier, ASW just doesn't want anyone else to know! = w=
TekkamanArk Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I hope not, but I do see the disadvantage of a charge character in this game. Hoping the Black Gale stances help him out.
spaghetti Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Terumi is a clear priority Favoritism is totally not happening right now
Chaoschao222 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Kagura's not at these playtests because they haven't beat Story Mode yet
HoudiniJr100 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Kagura's not at these playtests because they haven't beat Story Mode yet Clever.... :P
SoWL Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Kagura's not at these playtests because they haven't beat Story Mode yet Can't beat something that's not finished yet, huh.
Master Of Chaos Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I bet it's because ASW can't beat their own Story Mode because they made Unlimited Terumi too hardcore.
SoWL Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I bet it's because ASW can't beat their own Story Mode because they made Unlimited Terumi too hardcore. So that's why they need more Terumi loketests. Makes sense, makes sense.
darkasjinksu§ Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Terumi midscreen 0-100 heat combos confirmed.
-Seo Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 So, I thought it was said that Terumi was ment to steal heat from the opponent, yet in the quick video, while he gains a huge amount of heat Hakumen doesn't actually lose any. Unless I'm completely blind and he was losing heat
Velvien Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Hakumen definitely wasn't losing heat/magatama there. Either Hakumen is exempt, or Terumi just gains large amounts of heat rather than stealing it.
