Izayoi blocked the instant jump A while standing.

A lot of characters can do that, but the trick is being able to set it up easily and actually get damage off of it. I'm not sure if Azrael has either of those things, really. I mean, does he really need any more shit than he already has anyway?

Oh i get you, like Ragna j.ACD after 22C. The other problem he has is that he cant dash jump for easy momentum. Possible setup after scud (corner?)

Apologies, i overlooked that section.

So only BHS becomes unblockable, on paper seems like a slightly watered down johnny with infinite coins.

Is it impossible to combo off BHS then? nothing is listed in the combo section.

Nope. It does great damage as a punish, and it has incredible minimum damage. You would have to RC it. But that would be a disgustingly bad use of meter unless it gave the round. I could see 22C as an option if they're close to the corner when you land BHS, It sends them flying away.

BHS is pretty great as a combo ender or a fat punish. I'm interested in seeing how practical unblockable setups will become.

Also, using Phalanx cannon in corner combos. It adds some damage, not a whole lot.

And holy crap, look at this combo. Maybe it's character specific or something. It reminds me of Tager/Haku only combos.

TCL after sentinel dump midscreen. The combo ends up dropping when he tries to launch in the corner, most likely because of which starter he used.

I really want to see the P1/P2 values for Scud. If the P2 is good enough as well as the hitstun (it has like 3-second crumple in OD), it could be used for hella sick confirms a la Hazama (i.e. 1 or 2 normals > super > follow-up combo).

In all honesty I'd only ever use BHS if it was fullscreen. Gustaf Buster is safe and it covers a lot of ground. And on CH I can do into TCL / Weakpoint. I can see myself saving my meter for BHS enders due to the ridiculous Minimum damage (1800 or something????? 1200?) Or Scud Enders If I'm feeling risky.

1200 is the minimum BHS damage IIRC.

Yeah BHS is best used as a combo ender imo, you can see Shadow's Az in one of the vids trying BHS>RC> IAD into combo but it didnt work coz he was too far, might have worked if he hit the BHS closer to the corner but its still a stupid way to waste all your meter.

Is the cr.C x3 combo CH only? it was in one of the recent vids and I was laughing too hard at how stupid it looked to check..

1200 Minimum damage is absolutely amazing all things considered.

- Incredibly Fast. One of the fastest distortions in the game.

- Range long enough to warrant a Sniper Scope

- Easy as shit to combo into

So let's say we do 4.5K Meterless from a Weakpoint. Adding on BHS makes it more or less 6K (Not rounding Hundreds). If you dare RC that I'll personally lean through your screen and BHS you so hard you will die to death. Unless you're in the corner and they have magic pixels left. In no situation should you RC.

Don't give a damn if it causes controversy. Azrael is looking to be a ton better than Amane and Bullet. Manliness Prevails.

5K Meterless?! I've got to Notate that shit. So they have to be near the corner....

It's rare that we see Valiant Chargers into something other than 5C.

EDIT: Maybe you could do 5B into Aerial after 22C and reapply a weakpoint. Would give nice damage and a weakpoint without using meter.

Corner 5B Pickups seem to whiff a lot of the time from what I've seen. I usually just see 5A > BHS.

Amazing combo video for some BNBs. And dat song lol.

Oh my goodness that's some good stuff. Sentinel dump combos getting 2/3+ corner carry and massive damage. Also ending practical combos with both weakpoints. MUST PLAY HIM NOW...

I particularly like how practical the LW combos look. At around 2:20 he gets 5300 damage and great corner carry for only 25 meter.

Give it a month and they'll all be doing stuff like this, or at least attempting it. These combos look super practical and definitely the most optimal that I've seen so far. Reminds me of the fancy Ex Hakumen combos, except with more fire.

I guess this answers our questions about being able to combo from non-weakpoint Valiant/Hornet. Just links with A moves. The 6A > IAD j.A/j.C parts remind me of AC Slayer.

That Nico video was insanely hype. Those combos looked insane AND practical. Those 6K combos seemed really easy to land, man.

Also I have to comment on 3C...3K damage + 75% carry?...Someone hold me.
