confusedxphreak Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19433167 I don't know if the full properties of her 4D and d.4D are known, but at about 1:36, Noel's d.4D CH doesn't float on hit on a standing opponent. Also in the same video, at about 2:35, Spring Raid either has VERY little start-up or some invincibility? ALSO at 2:56, was that a dash cancel after the finishing j.C or just a very quick dash? The text blocked her after she landed. *_* 4D CH can be followed up by d.2D as seen at 7:35. On another note, only one of the two hits of d.5B causes wall bounce? In that same combo after the 4D CH, d.5B didn't wall bounce. Edited November 25, 2012 by confusedxphreak
Litherain-XIII Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 4D floats the opponent. d.4D seem to have the same properties it normally would have so that means only 4D is the one with the floating properties as seen in the video at 7:02. Spring raid does seem to have some invincibility since platinum tried to punish with 5A. The start up looks the same from my perspective i doubt it just have fast start up if it was able to counter hit platinum out of her 5A at the same time otherwise noel would normally get hit out of it or at best would trade with platinum but that wasnt the case so im starting to believe it has invincibility frames now (about damn time...it look like a dp anyhow glad you noticed Mori >_>) At 2:56 its hard to tell what that was to be honest. when i slow it down it looks just like a regular dash and it even showed the landing semi crouching frames before the dash but at the same time it looked a bit faster than some ordinary dash in general.....perhaps a dash cancel on landing after j.C...?? must investigate that over time. Lastly the d.5B wallbounce midscreen property it only applies to the 2nd attack from d.5B which would be the gunflare and not the kick that comes before the gunflare attack.
Ichipoo Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Would've been nice if we can SR anytime we want to. Noel actually having a reversal outside of Fenrir or her Astral would be great.
Litherain-XIII Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) yeah i guess but then again they would nerf the hell out of her drives entirely but i rather trade 4D for a dp overall since its more reliable as a reversal as opposed to 4D tha can net more damage but not as reliable Side Note: R-1 using ragna?? wtf O_o he betrayed us too T_T great... Edited November 25, 2012 by Litherain-XIII
Chaoschao222 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Didn't R-1 always have a pocket Ragna inb4everyonehasapocketragna?
HexaNoid Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 I thought it was a pocket Makoto? I think remember him ditching Noel for her back in CS1.
LiveWireX Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 yeah i guess but then again they would nerf the hell out of her drives entirely but i rather trade 4D for a dp overall since its more reliable as a reversal as opposed to 4D tha can net more damage but not as reliable Side Note: R-1 using ragna?? wtf O_o he betrayed us too T_T great... What? No way. You lie! Why must you lie?!
Surf Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Hmm. A friend of mines is saying the Ragna I saw with his name as R-1 may or may not be Buppa. Because they switch names or something along those lines correct?
floatwater Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 yeah R-1 and Buppa switched tags waaayy back for the lulz. so it could be buppa again. MAAAAAAAAAAYBE
Tokkan Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 The Ragna "R-1" is actually Yutta. Possibly a three-way swap with Yutta and Miya (a Jin player), since Miya has "Yutta gyuu" as a playername.
Chaoschao222 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Jesus... Japanese sure love their shenanigans. Well nice to know R-1's probably not dropping Noel, in any event.
Ichipoo Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 http://youtu.be/6vtOYjtq2ck?t=33s 4D > d.2D > d.5C > d.5B > 236A > 66 > 5B > 5C > j.C > j.D > d.6B > d.5C > CS Better start grinding those now.
confusedxphreak Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NujJ0-C7BSI Noel's astral works on throws. Cool beans. :] This video shows some interesting combo potential, including a Crush Trigger combo. On a random note, I'm really loving that green palette. :D Since Noel lost her 6B>6C link and I suck at hit-confirming a 3C straight from 6B, I'm glad that Noel has the 6B>5D link now. I know entering drive on a blocking opponent is never safe, but at least doing 6B>5D>236C seems safer than a failed 6B>3C. Edited November 25, 2012 by confusedxphreak
Chaoschao222 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Most characters have pretty coo' mid-combo applications for their CTs, it's real nice. And Noel's Astral better have worked on throws, to make it a counter is one thing, but if they made it less effective than Hakumen's.... all my strongly worded letters.
Crimsonflash27 Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 For those who haven't seen yet. Noel new win Animation at 2:38. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQHFtyV6_PA&feature=plcp

Raptor Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 With the loss of her hat, she had to take something off to pose for the cameras lol. I'm surprised at the lack of chamber shot in those videos. Maybe to keep momentum like usual. So now I'm guessing its only use is to make moves safe especially drive blockstrings. P.S. I'm going to bet chamber shot is going to be lulzy in the mirror match.
DC Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 I'm pretty sure Noel has had to do 66 5b before? In any case, I lost my ability to do dash -> neutral attacks after playing Persona for so long.
Litherain-XIII Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Thats what persona does to some ppl. It makes some ppl pretty rusty on micro dashing and 66 neutral inputs where they end up doing 6A/6B/6C/6D stuff by accident.
Ichipoo Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) I really hope players discover some nice corner combos in the upcoming days because it seems like her corner damage seems a bit lacking from the videos I've seen, at least her midscreen combos are decent. And I personally never found a reason to 66 > 5B after a 3C, I was always able to know instinctively the exact number of 22Bs I needed to maximize damage and also to keep my opponent in range for a 66 > 6C. Edited November 25, 2012 by Ichipoo
Litherain-XIII Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Yeah same here. the only time you would 66 5B is if youre in a spacing war otherwise it never really happens in a combo.
XeroBlitz Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) she doesn't have her 6B> 6C but recently video shows she can done the opposite 6C>6B ^^ Edited November 25, 2012 by XeroBlitz
LiveWireX Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Yeah same here. the only time you would 66 5B is if youre in a spacing war otherwise it never really happens in a combo. Yeah, that sounds about right. And truthfully, the couple of times I used to try it, half of them I'd wind up doing 66B instead.
