Litherain-XIII Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 perhaps but even so it would still keep noel closer to her opponents than fullscreen even with 1 jump into RB > j.2C alone without air dashing
Ichipoo Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Looks like it's back to ending combos at d.5C for ghetto Oki if we want to keep the opponent in our face...... assuming d.5C wasn't changed for the worst. Also I'm curious if we can go straight into j.D after 6A > stuff if we wanted to.
LunaKage Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I like her ghetto oki anyway, and we have ob whiff back if her d.5c works the same way. I also saw d.5b > 214D whiff oki as well, I think she will be ok.
Ichipoo Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Personally, I'm hoping it's both.Well if a poke is good then respect for it naturally follows. As for d.5C, it's not exactly the same as before as it hits twice now, but that shouldn't make much a difference right when it comes to ghetto oki right? And I'd like to see CP footage of d.5B > AT whiffing.

Of course, with a tendency to be wrong, don't quote me on it.

Litherain-XIII Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) Idk man that doesnt look as safe to do anymore since makoto teched in the air before she landed on the ground and rather looked confused for a second before she pressed a button as not to expect to tech that early she kinda just stood there for a sec or 2 before she got CH out of her attempted attack. She looked like she had time to hit noel way before noel hit her but i wanna believe this isnt the case... Edited November 27, 2012 by Litherain-XIII

Maybe I'm wrong. I'm just saying.
DC Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) I'm 100% optimistic and confident in CP Noel and there's no chance in hell I'm switching to a different character after 4 games. Especially not Azrael. On topic: Better ender than d.5c in EX was actually a whiffed AT, I was gonna make an entire video about it but everyone kinda stopped playing. AT doesn't wallbounce anymore, does it? Wall stick? Slide? Edited November 27, 2012 by DC
confusedxphreak Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 From videos I watched, regular AT hit just causes regular hitstun. I believe it gives Noel enough time to reset pressure after she recovers though, so I can't complain. As for a AT CH, I saw it wallbounce while she was in OD mode, so I'm not sure if it'll wallbounce outside of OD.

Maybe even wallbounce on regular hit in OD?
XeroBlitz Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 @skyking looking at ur avatar reminds me that i need to get that douji in the upcoming comiket 83 :D

confusedxphreak Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) The d.5B hitbox must be strange because I see the second hit whiff a lot, dropping the combo. :/ And more damaging grab combo from here: BC>214A>5B>5C>sjc>j.C>j.D>d.6C>d.2D>d.6B>d.5C>236D (3725 dmg) *I have a feeling this combo might be character-specific though because the same player did a different grab combo on Tsubaki Random note: EDIT: AT can wallbounce on CH w/o overdrive. @.@ Edited December 3, 2012 by confusedxphreak
Ichipoo Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) Another ghetto Oki trick with d.5B as an ender this time. Your thoughts? Edited December 2, 2012 by Ichipoo
Litherain-XIII Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 ummm... all i see is litchi vs tsubaki...
Litherain-XIII Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 it looks pretty good the only issue for me is if the opponent could tech high into the air backwards or forward after the wallbounce. it look like they just neutral air teched and could possibly tech a different manner or not tech at all to avoid the oki setup and wait for the real combo ender. if they cant tech in a different manner and only air neurtal tech that would be great i hope this is realiable.
LunaKage Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Yeah that's not oki at all lol, it doesn't knock down, and like Lith said, they have all these teching options available to them.
Ichipoo Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 (edited) Ok my mistake then lol, moving on. Edited December 2, 2012 by Ichipoo
Litherain-XIII Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 yeah it looks good at first but then again knowing ppl in america they would wait for a while before teching against noel to avoid resets or setups in general unless they just annoyed at being in her combos in general and wanna get out as fast as possible out of thin patience alone....then otherwise its not that relaible because it puts noel at a guessing game of how your opponent will react to the setup. I suppose it could work againts players who tech a certain way but thats just downloading a player's habits at the end of the day to be able to see if this would work on them specifically.
Litherain-XIII Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 (edited) Ok guys i found a match that gives us a pretty good view of the range on noels j.2C i must say i am pretty pleased that it stretches out far enough decently from a horizontal standpoint. Now we just need to see a vertical hitbox range perhaps and then if its an air overhead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Dq8MTJ4YZls#t=2143s Also on a side note, why does it strike me strangely when i seen this happen on the CH 5C hit it looked as if makoto kinda had that one imo especially how she came at a steep angle but noel just hit her out of it entirely with 5C even with makoto pretty much ontop of her head... any comments on this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Dq8MTJ4YZls#t=2171s And how about that d.6B clashing with makoto's dp :D get hyped! seems pretty leit now for noel to try drive mix-ups since these 2 occasions happend separately unless makotos dp just simply sucks. it is one of the bad ones but if i remember correctly it still usually would punish noels drives in the past. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq8MTJ4YZls&feature=player_detailpage#t=2244s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dq8MTJ4YZls&feature=player_detailpage#t=2361s Edited December 3, 2012 by Litherain-XIII
