It launches almost straight up, and looks hard, if not impossible to follow-up with ground moves without FC/RC. (based on scrub-level play though, so don't quote me on it).

I remember reading that drive followups are special cancelable; is that still in? Of course there's no close optic barrel now, but I wonder if there's still d.6C > 214A? Or is there no more 2B>6C>22B>22C anymore... I remember that being removed but 22C>DC>66C was supposed to be removed as well but that's been shown in that Noel bnb video :?:

If it's really gone then what happens after a midscreen throw? 214A>2B>6C>jD? Since there's no more close optic barrel :<

Also, would chamber shot become the safe ender to blocked drive mixups? I wonder if we still die to Hakumen :X

I think I'll stop being pessimistic about Noel's changes right now, especially since the game just came out and there's barely any Noel matches of the handful of CP videos uploaded. It was kind of foolish of me in the first place anyway. I just hope she has more potential going on for her especially with j.2C.

Yeah, I've seen mid-drive Chamber Shots, so I'm assuming that her drives will cancel into any of her specials now, just like pre-Extend. I haven't seen anyone use d.6C > 214A now probably because mid-screen you can do d.5B > d.6C due to the wallbounce properties of d.5B.

They might have to play around with the spacing or the timing, but I am worried about no 22B/22C after 214A. It was a staple combo of hers, but now it'd give us new ways of using the other drives in combos. Somehow, she'll always find a way to use everything in one go.

And against Hakumen, you have to outsmart them, so playing around with Chamber Shot is gonna be pretty useful now that it seems to be a possibly blockstring ender (albeit I don't know how safe it will be).

last time i saw spring raid on the field its impossible to folow up midscreen without RC but in the corner it might be possible i think in the loketest videos you can see one noel trying to figure out spring raid combos in the corner. as for 6B combo best damage on CP there hasnt been a combo shown for that but if i take into consideration of how her combos are going and the damage scaling i seen i would say for a 6B > 3C combo would get her probably around 2.8 - 3.4k if its from 6B > 5D combo its looking around 2.2 - 2.7k somewhat. Im making rough estimates on the numbers based on the combo damages ive seen so far in matches and stuff.

I hate to ask the dumbest question known to mankind here, but since I've only seen 2 matches worth of Noel footage from CP, am I right in assuming Chamber Shot = Shotgun-like thing?

Got it. Thank you good sir. And since I didn't see it in the thread, does that last hit on Revolver Blast happen to be an auto-ender to it, or is that say, j.2C can be immediately linked off of it?

Oh yeah that's true huh! I'm also curious about how late you can get d.5B wallbounce in a combo... Is d.5B>236A>662A confirmed to work? The video only showed d.6C after wallbounce but I wonder if you d.5B>236A>662A after a fairly extended combo, or if it has to be early... :?:

Maybe its just the shitty video quality of my phone, but did anyone else think the startup of d.6d looked an awful lot like the startup of d.6b?

I noticed that too. Her leg goes up for about half a second before she crouches low. Tricky stuff against people who block during drive strings.

Noel's new Counter Assault can be low profiled. -__- Just watched the Noel/Jin match where he 3C'ed under it. We really have to pick our spots when using it.

Another thing I saw was that OB no longer knocks down on standing. Don't know if that's the same on counter hit though.

Also, I wish people would drive a bit more right now just to see the properties.

OB CH does not knock down. Its just results in longer hitstun. Also, does anyone know if Noel's d.2D will connect after a 4D? It will be really sad if Noel can only follow-up 4D with Spring Raid...

no not really. 4D floats the opponent about noels head. there is a video showing that she can 4D > d.5A > d.5C > either d.6C OR d.6B > d.6C. i assumed this is noels new way to follow up on 4D CHs as it makes sense why its structured that way in an attemp to nerf her damage overall by using d.5A as the follow up to transition into a combo easily.

Admittedly losing 4D>d.6C isn't a personal loss of much for me. I've tended to do BT after 4D in combos and the corner anyway. Though, BT works differently in CP too, hm.

4D > d.6C still works in the corner "in the middle of a combo". The only issue is that 4D anywhere as a FC mostly doesnt connect with d.6C where you may have to use d.5A as the follow up midscreen or if you're the one in the corner using 4D as a reversal.

2B > 5B > 6A > j.C > j.D > d.6B > d.6C > d.2D > d.6B > 22C~66 > 6C > 6B > 4D > d.2D > d.6B > d.5C > d.6B > BT - 2,951

Midscreen up until 6C > 6B > 4D which is in the corner. There were a few better combos in that set too like a 6A starter that went into 4k with Fenrir midscreen.

Anyway if you sub BT for Fenrir, it becomes 3833 damage.

There's also

CH 2D > d.6B > d.5C > d.6B > d.5C > Fenrir for 2931, nothing too fancy.

Whole lotta d.6Bs though.
