Seems like it could be worth it if 1) you can pull it off and 2) if it's right before the opponent gets into awakening mode.

A tier: everybody not listed

B tier: Junpei

Why me tier: Liz

 

Tier gaps are pretty small with the exception of Narukami being god and Liz being butt cheeks. Things will change a bit but that's a pretty good guess right now. P.Sho is probably like between S and A atm, he could go either way depending on how things turn out.

I'm glad Teddie moved up in the tier list (unless that order isn't specific) but I wish Aigis and Narukami weren't getting more buffs then debuffs. I also didn't think Junpei was going to be that low on the list.

There's no specific order. That's just a general overview of what some of us think so far. Yosuke is better. Teddie is absurd, he doesn't let you play the game once a couple items are out and then he just kills you for no real reason. Junpei has room to move up but so far he's having trouble keeping up. I could get more in depth but it's still relatively early, and this is just based on footage/results we've gotten and the tidbits we've heard from JP players in social media. Again, the gaps in power aren't too crazy atm with the exception of Narukami having his own tier. Once more develops I bet a few of the A tier characters are gonna have trouble keeping up, but it won't be despair or anything outside of certain MUs.

Anne, what exactly makes Brosuke better? Asking only because you seem to have more knowledge than me when it comes to P4U.

Just general buffs and being able to knockdown and actually have oki. He wasn't bad at all in P4U, he just had a couple things holding him back, and the gap between top tiers was insane. Hop around the Yosuke board a bit, they have some good discussion going on there. It's also worth pointing out there are 3 Yosukes in the top 20 PSR at the moment.

VSlasher is insane since you can get oki from anything instead of the opponent air teching (which is insanely goooooooooood considering his oki is good).

Sukukaja 5A is fun too.

He got a couple of other nice buffs too.

ASW, fix this injustice. I don't care how you do it, but there is no reason whatsoever for Lizzie of all characters to be bottom of the barrel here. She deserves better. This is sounding like CS1 Rachel all over again.

But then I'd be betraying the heart of the cards Lizzie. And no offense but I neither understand nor particularly care for baseball. Nor do I hold any special place in my heart for Junpei for that matter. I am likely going to need to change mains if ASW doesn't do a rebalance patch for P4U2's console release, but it certainly won't be Junpei, I can promise you that.

 

Of course, finding that new main is proving more difficult since no character other than Lizzie ever made me smile when playing.

I also feel he may actually be a tad better than the supposed B-tier ranking. Are his ridiculously high damage punishes, great damage conversion, and solid normals not enough? Keep in mind that I do know that it's a P4 game so high tier characters are f***ing stupid/strong for various reasons (looking at you Narukami). I do mainly play BB and GG however so my P4U knowledge is pretty scrub tier and I might be talking out of my ass.

tl;dr: He's bad outside of Victory Cry but very competent when he gets it. It's kinda like Labrys' gameplay with Axe Levels, except Junpei's "Red axe" stays for the whole match once activated.

Oh I've seen some replays and I was definitely crying tears of joy that he gets knockdowns now. I just thought there may be some other subtle changes. No more xbl netplay air tech, fall down with buttons, get anti aired. Heh how about that new glide doe???
