Button Masher Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Can we talk about how Guard Cancel OD is a stupid fucking idea? "Shit, I'm being pressured, better use this reversal to do 50% of your life." Well it's good news for Bullet and Tager mains. Though surely we're just missing some information and the guard cancel works so that you can't punish the opponent by doing this, right?
bakahyl Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Pfffft You all do realize normal OD has 1+15 startup right. And most reversal attempts won't hit until the 7 or 8th frame. Well besides Kagura's DD, which has 1+1f startup and the first frame has invul. as well Also it depends on the move, if the OD can make a move with long recovery whiff (like for example Mu's 5c>6c) you have plenty of time to mess up the opponent

This, to a small degree. Going from about to close the match to grabbing your ankles and hoping for lube doesn't sound too hot.

In first place I think they shouldn't nerf that move. And also they shouldn't remove the gatlings of Ragna. But now all is done.

For all we know, the guard cancel version could be like 1+35 and have no invincibility for the last 20 frames. Better to just wait for loketest info to be honest.

Morons are just going to wakeup sentinel dup every other wakeup like its a dp now that they lost growler anyway. Well they did that before but it'll be more common now. Character had 0 business having a dp in the first place

I love the phrasing of this sentence because up until now, this was how you were supposed to "properly" play Azrael. Who decided on what is the "right" and "wrong" way to play any given character or game for each and every individual again? Because I certainly don't remember making the vote.

I think someonewhodied meant to say that Azrael still has other options than his dp or he can simply block, because there are players who are playing characters without any meterless reversals who don't whine about not having one Also i never knew that his sentinel dump has startup guardpoint -_-

I still don't understand why anyone views him as an "honest" character. He might not be Noel levels of BS, but he wants to be.

Sorry, do you mean the move with Guardpoint with 40 frames startup, or the other one with 27 frames startup and is -26?

To be fair there are quite a few beginner Azraels that use growler as a crutch but I think its start up buff will be an important neutral tool in match ups against zoners
