Lunatic Upper combos to Mars Chopper! and it knockdowns now even the stand up opponents! Weird, the knockdown change can be a buff or nerf, also having Mars chopper to combo after 214AC could mean that it is faster now (no more getting mashed out of it).

 

I dunno why, but when I saw the way Mars Chopper worked, my first instinct was to go for Rapid Cancel >2B>stuff. It just seemed like the most obvious course of action and it reminded me of her glory days back in BBCSII. Time will tell I guess.

 

They took away Kagura plus as hell B oki. What is wrong with these devs. That's all he had left

 

Should that really surprise you? ASW giveth, but if you get too comfortable, then ASW will not only taketh away but will also rob you blind. Or maybe they write a bunch of patch ideas and pull them out of a replica of Carl's hat while drunk then just roll with whatever they got...

They removed Makoto orb oki completely too if that's gonna make you feel better... ;-;

They really don't want this character to have anything do they? The curse of a fanservice character I guess, seeing as how she's been bad for awhile.

They got rid of the nerf bat a long time ago. They've upgraded to the nerf minigun.

Who wouldn't? Those things were a blast as a kid...and in college for that matter.

 

Also, I'm interested to see how all of this evolves and how they use the feedback from the first loketest. I'm not too worried about it. I guess after having your character cut in half, patch notes are irrelevant and we just have to look forward to relearning the character again.

Why they're so hell-bent on getting rid of wallbounce, especially on characters like Bang (already done) and Azrael (current patch notes), is beyond me.

 

Midscreen wallbounce is stupid strong because it allows doing what is basically a corner combo midscreen.  It seems pretty obvious why it would be something they generally don't want.

Possibly cutting down on corner carry. Hell, they`re cutting down everything else

Its me or Ragna seems better in 2.0 compare to 1.1 ?

it felt like his 214 move where he shoots forward with his fist was a little quicker, but it might just be because the devs are just pros at input. Regardless, hopefully this will be released on ps4 post-Xrd. I wouldn't expect any consoles confirmations till after Xrd releases. Arc has a pretty heavy release schedule as is.

it's not hugely dependent on connection, outside of PF lvl 3.

Maybe they improved it, because I haven't touched her since CSE, but it's always been inconsistent to me.  That and I never took her serious anyway.

PF3 is game over online, outside of that it is mostly fine in a reasonable connection. her combos are pretty lol easy in CP anyway, EX was harder.

Yeah, they weren't difficult in CSE really, it's just that delay made it a bit wonky at times.  I just don't understand what the devs see about Makoto (and Tsubaki for that matter as well) that gives them the indication that they would be somehow too good if they got buffed.

They didn't want to make another Jin/Ragna character maybe. You know, easy all around everything. The two of them wouldn't be too good if buffed, they would just be too simple. It would be hard to buff Makoto or Tsubaki properly without just making either of them outright easier to play or making it so they have an easier time in general. Like I'd say a lot of Tsubaki's depth and difficulty comes from compensating for her glaring faults because I actually think a good amount of her conventional combos and basic gameplan are some of the easiest of any character in the game (so long as you have proper spacing). Doesn't keep me from complaining about everything, though.
