I don't think that was because of a DP change, the Kanji player probably just did his DP too early. Even in the current version, he has to do it relatively late to catch Labrys after the super-armor.

Music from P3 affiliated with Tartarus and the Dark Hour (the ones I've heard so far are Master of Tartarus and Master of Shadow).

One of the Labrys players in the latest batch of vids used SB Houjuu. It has the same trajectory as the C version, but is about 1/3 bigger. It didn't hit and wasn't blocked, so can't say whether or not it has any other benefits. Also, axe level does seem to gravitate towards level 2 rather than level 3.

Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold Story Thread (spoilers)
redsilversnake replied to Vulcan422's topic in Zepp Museum
Not really. The only comparisons between them and Sho/SHO you can make are superficial, since the nature of Shiki and SHIKI is much more...unique, lets say. -
Okay, never mind, the latest vid clearly shows the C version is indeed the one that travels right over the characters' heads.
-
C and D Houjuu don't have the same trajectory. The C version moves more, but it was hard to tell if it tracks or is on a set trajectory.

Just watched the same stream as RurouniLoneWolf, so I'll post some observations. -New autocombo looks cool, but the second hit may or may not make it harder to confirm on airborne opponents. -Axe level starts out at blue, but still carries over between rounds; don't know whether or not it gravitates towards blue now. -C Houjuu comes out relatively quick, probably on a set trajectory, but couldn't tell for sure; D Houjuu takes a while, looks big at first, but is about as big as the C version when it's actually active, travels in a straight line at the same height as characters' heads or just over. -The player kept sticking to Tsurugi oki, but whether or not it's effective will probably take time to discern.

Considering Faust's real name is Baldhead, it wouldn't be that surprising if Bedman really is the character's name. -
[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion

They actually do. The DLC colors in P4U and BBCP are undoubtedly on the disk, while Terumi and Noel's old outfit are both obviously on-disk (as both appear in story fights), and the same was confirmed for even Kokonoe. If Xrd does get DLC, it'll most likely be the same. That being said, the only release info we have for Xrd's console release is that it's next year. Depending on how long it is between the arcade release and whenever the PS3/4 versions come out, it's possible that enough characters will be added to the arcade version that there wouldn't be much character DLC. Although, that is assuming that ASW doesn't intentionally hold out to milk their fans. -
[P4U2] Labrys - Speculation and Discussion Thread
redsilversnake replied to SteelCoil's topic in Archive
Unless Ariadne disappears before the bubble does, then this won't be happening unless the game now allows the use of two different Persona specials while the Persona is out. Anyway, just read the Dengeki article on Labrys. It's mostly a basic rundown, but I think it confirmed how BI works now (could just be me misinterpreting it, but it seems to imply that the move does freeze the opponent in place like Yukikaze in BlazBlue), and calls it a strong reversal. -
I know Chizuru does. Can't say whether or not anyone else does, though. Anyway, shame about the netplay patch for the JP version; I was hoping to take down some day one scrubs to inflate my win rate, but the differing versions preclude that. Guess I'll have to keep hoping I find some other importers unless Atlus decides to release the patch for the NA release sometime.

In terms of execution, at least, GG's difficulty really is overstated. Aside from FRCs and Slashback, there's nothing about it that's necessarily any harder than other FGs. The difficulty comes from more abstract things, like meter management and defense. I would say making that distinction is important. The problem with this isn't that the response is wrong, but that it's not made clear why you shouldn't make too large of an attempt to emulate the play you see in videos. There's nothing inherently wrong with learning a character's basics by watching good players, but when you mindlessly copy specific things, chances are you won't be using those specific things at opportune times. Because it's not just that a Japanese player makes something work, but that he makes it work through certain factors that this newer player isn't taking into account.
-
It's not supposed, Ishiwatari flat-out said the base is #Reload. It's basically being approached as the sequel to pre-Slash XX rather than taking Slash, AC, and +R into account, hence the removal of moves and mechanics introduced in those games. That being said, though, it is still an entirely new game, so you and Ronove are right about #R not necessarily being better to prepare.

There's a netplay patch for the PC version. The thread you'll find it in specifies the Japanese release, but I don't know if that's because it predates the GOG release or if the two are just different.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
redsilversnake replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
During TGS, he did say they were planning on adding every character. Whether this means the whole +R cast or just every pre-Slash character, though, we'll have to wait and see. It's known that they have a US branch now, but many have been disillusioned thanks to, erm, some antics on their Twitter feed. Though, it seems they still intend to work with other companies for their bigger releases, seeing as Aksys Games is still handling distribution for BBCP. -

Hitstop is also noticeably longer. ES mentioned it during the first loketest, but it seems more pronounced than he indicated. -
AFK?

The only Hakumen I've played admitted it was only his third day with him, but it was enough to confirm he can react to Sonic Sabre with 5C. He still needs to time it, of course, but SS isn't exactly that fast, so don't expect to get a lot of stars at max distance.

So, I usually wander around a lobby looking for players I have a decent connection with, but whenever I manage to find some and wait to face whoever wins the match, the loser just gets right back on even though I'm right fucking there and trying to get on the "cab." The hell is wrong with these people? There's a reason your avatar is moved away from there, and it's not so you can troll the person who's been patiently waiting for their turn to play.

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
redsilversnake replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
Concerning the damage, it's probably not because this is a loketest. The previous games had damage reduction via the guard gauge, which no longer happens with the R.I.S.C. gauge, so each attack is now doing its full damage. Of course, proration may still be in and/or they could add some other form of damage scaling down the road, but for now, there's little reason to think the damage will change in the final build. -
BlazBlue Question Thread - Ask your questions here!

It's a bug. Apparently, ASW is working to fix it, but all you can do right now is do a search in Player Match, then go back and do another Ranked search. -

Dunno if this was checked during the first loketest, but if not, can you see whether or not projectiles raise the R.I.S.C. gauge? -

You still have yet to explain how exactly I'm wrong. And I'm not entirely sure whether or not you know this, but just telling someone they're wrong, with no clarification whatsoever, doesn't mean anything.
