  1. No one else updated this and I ended up forgetting about it T-T Here's the rest of the Akihabara matches: (04/29/2014) P4U2 1.10 - Akihabara Leisureland Matches Tahichi (Yukari) vs BB (Shadow Labyrs) - Game 1 Game 2 Game 3 Game 4 Game 5 Tahichi (Yukari) vs Damosu (Elizabeth) Tahichi (Yukari) vs Kameten (Yosuke) - Game 1 Game 2-4 Game 5 Game 6 Game 7 Game 8 Game 9 Tahichi (Yukari) vs STD (Chie) - Game 1 Game 2-3
  2. Except on IB, of course. Our only true gapless strings are 2C > Gurren and 5C > Gurren iirc. Everything else can be DP'd, some only with an IB.
  3. I think the problem is that players still don't have a good understanding of how Liz's tools need to be used, at least from what we've seen so far. A lot of them take some oddball risks that aren't worth it in retrospect even if they land a hit. I really want to see if these Liz players at Pre Arc Revo can get over this hurdle and recognize the fact that they just can't use certain options in some situations and need to use other options more frequently.
  4. Three Liz players are going to be at Pre Arc Revo. I'll find the stream link later, but it's possible that they will be playing sometime today while I'm gone.
  5. I just always input 9623 for TK DPs. It's just easier for me that way.
  6. I use 3C enough for it to matter. It punishes some obvious stuff.
  7. The only wasted move I can think of is Lander Blow, since it still doesn't have a standalone input. I think it's silly that they didn't fix that for post-patch.
  8. You have much better stuff now. It'll be okay.
  9. I'm glad you said almost. Otherwise, most iterations of Potemkin and Waldstein in UNIEL would have wanted to sit you down and have a nice, long chat. Makoto's drive is more like a compliment to what she has (or had, anyways) more than it is her main focus, which I think is okay. What you do use it for is fine, it's just you can't apply it to very many situations outside of situational setups and combos. The rest of her moveset covers the other situations for her if you can utilize those tools properly. It's just rather hard to effectively use her tools without being a strong player with good fundamentals.
  10. Nobody here is a Damosu (is this a thing now?). I mean, I've been called mini-Damosu, but it doesn't mean anything lol. None of us are at that level just yet, though maybe a few people here are close. Just put in the work and you'll be fine. Don't forget to ask for help, either.
  11. Were our matches so bad that you wiped my doing this to you from recent memory. If so, I'm sorry Joking aside, I'll be floating around netplay for a while. Will probably put a lobby up and stream it. Edit: The level of play in this room is pretty real right now. Come check it out: www.twitch.tv/token
  12. The damage itself is a bit better overall than before, but it's the fact that we can more readily go for the damage we rarely saw in 1.1 that has me excited. This damage isn't off of every starter, but at this point we have more combo route knowledge to work with. I'm seeing a few potential routes that can lead to good damage courtesy of Damosu. Also note that we have yet to see just how far we can go with the Garu changes just yet, but there will be something. Randomizer is also more viable for leading to negative penalty damage this time around b/c of the buffs it got (thank god for the invulnerability) and is looking like our primary reversal option. We'll see it used more and, as a result, see more damage from Liz now.
  13. (04/29/2014) P4U2 1.10 - Akihabara Leisureland Matches Domi (Akihiko) vs Kameten (Yosuke) Domi (Akihiko) vs Damosu (Elizabeth) Domi (Akihiko) vs BB (Shadow Labrys)
  14. First off, thanks for all the uploads, Strife. Getting to see 3 of my favorite players (Tahichi, Damosu, and Domi) in one set of videos playing against each other is amazing. Secondly...Yoooooo, that runback against BB in the 2nd vid. Holy shiii-*cough* Mhm. That was very nice on Damosu's part Damosu is doing well in these last few vids. His j.A usage is getting really good. Also, he has combos and setups that are looking to be pretty darn good. We no longer have a reason to complain about damage. Version 1.1 Liz is hitting HARD...just...not as hard as P4U Liz (I want it like this anyways).
  15. My thoughts are that Randomizer is basically our go-to reversal option now. DP will still have its uses, but I can see myself using randomizer more atm. The damage was pretty great off of that as well. Trying to use randomizer while dealing with air-tight blockstrings might be a thing we have to consider.
  16. I love the mirror matches I play in this game. Hakumen vs Hakumen, Makoto vs Makoto, Valk vs Valk, Jin vs Jin. They're all so comical. I don't think I'm ever bothered when I play them unless the other person derps thinking I won't expect something when I'm using the same character
  17. It beats Tager's 6A about 98% of the time. You can actually react to the 6A at neutral while magnetized and get a free punish. There were a few other things I've seen it beat, but I'll have to note them the next time I fight a Tager with Makoto.
  18. When it would actually serve a purpose. If only it did. Well, at least PF got fixed. Good players will still rise to the top with her in Japan. Going to miss seeing Goro if he completely stopped playing her, though.
  19. I just think we should stop worrying about an update and just be prepared to put in work if we still want to use Elizabeth. Honestly, I can't stress enough how much I feel as if our players are lacking in general without the fault being Liz's alone. People really didn't actively try to find stuff in P4U, nor did they learn the things that were readily available to them. They sure aren't trying in P4U2 either, with the exceptions being Damosu and friends. I know that personally I didn't start helping with Liz stuff until half-way through last year, but this time around I'll be using Liz from the start instead of just messing around with her every few games after release. I'll be putting in work with her, so maybe you guys should just brace yourselves for the inevitable when you do the same. Also, I just want to point out that Arcadia tier listings are generally based on the top/high-level players that attend the arcade and are not entirely representative of the general consensus on tier placement. Liz also doesn't have nearly as much representation as other characters, so it's really hard to place her accurately. I think she's in B tier along with Lab and Junpei.
  20. The real tier-listing is obviously different. Arcadia always has the best characters at the bottom of the list. I mean, look at Makoto in BB! She's B tier! In actuality, she's the one true S+ tier of the game. So there ya go, guys. Liz is most definitely S tier. Narukami is only SwordS tier.
  21. I don't think Hyde will be "too" easy. Looks like he'll take work as far as hitconfirms go.
  22. It's nice to see Damosu again. He was using Agi a lot, so that made me happy. He still doesn't block, though
  23. It causes problems during his stream iirc. We can probably figure out what the issue is before the tourney, though.
  24. Though I'm sure all of us (myself included) have done this at least a couple of times, it's pretty annoying to see players complaining about things that aren't actual issues and have nothing to do with netplay. An example would be you punishing someone for the same bad habit over and over. You go out of your way to point out the fact that they should avoid doing this one thing that you're wrecking them for, and they continue to do so all the while questioning what is going wrong (yelling and profanity are a possibility). If you don't want to listen to advice, go ahead. It's perfectly fine for you to not take input or feedback from someone when you don't want to. Just...please stop complaining when the answer you seek is literally right in front of your eyes
  25. The way that j.2B changes our air momentum and movement in general should be varied enough from that of j.B. I think part of the reason we don't see it is that nobody knows how to combo with it on something like a counter hit in addition to not knowing what angles to use it at. But it's not like people know how to combo off of air-to-air j.A on counter hit either, so... Someone needs to experiment with her entire moveset before we start shortchanging ourselves on theories. I'll just treat anything and everything as a possibility (outside of what we can actually debunk) until we get access to the game.
