So does anyone else actually care about Abyss Mode? I care about Abyss Mode. I hope they add an ability that allows the user to ignore SMP. Or how about an ability that extends OD time? Oooooo! What if they made an ability that gives you P4A mechanics (Awakening bonuses/rolls/manual air turn around/etc.)?

Regardless, I'm hoping to see tons of Abyss Mode combo videos once the game comes out. :v:

I like the customization, but I hated the trophy to collect everything. I spent a whole month grinding that damn mode. Maxed out my P$ because of it. I wish they would allow the Abyss mode customization into Versus/Netplay. ;~;

I like it a lot, since you can make the most bullshit combos in it. There needs to be an Abyss Training Mode.

But no Abyss Vs. Nobody needs Unlimited Arakune with infinite Curse and a black aura.

I uhh....never played it once!

As fun as fighting broken chars with broken chars may be, in the end I just enjoy fighting people more. It's why I don't use unlimited chars in rooms where my foes do. I just don't enjoy the game as much when it becomes a broken mess. I like the balance. I've had people yell at me to use unlimited chars on rare occasions though, and in those times I just used Rachel and it was just...gruesome. Tempest Dahlia alone does so much damage and guard primer damage and george is out for ever. It's not even funny lol.

The extra modes to play are when I feel like it if I'm bored or something, but its a great time waster, lol. I wonder, has anyone actually completed (not)-infinite Abyss and just see the same Abyss mode completion screen? (That may just rewards you nothing but bragging rights?) I mean, I would have done something like this, but it takes a long time, even with the use of the Abyss stuff and constant saving, but maybe one day (if possible), lol. :kitty:

I did manage to do abyss mode 100. I did get to floor 500, but nu owned me >.>

I'm pretty sure the AI is set at around 1500-2000, and everything else afterward is just a pattern, with some random numbers involved. I made it to 3400-ish, and it took me about 6 hours (grinding for that trophy is a bitch).

The maximum depth is 99999, so it would take about 177 hours of gameplay to reach the end. Even if you did finally reach the end, I feel like it would just keep repeating the same depth or something.

l would have taken the candy and been happy, bonus if there were shapes of rachel, nago, gii, or wolf valk.

yeah, I just wanted the BB candy...and maybe the hoodie to destroy in front of acidace.

Huge shoutout to Jyo doing an an awesome job running the tourney.

oh, and srry for dropping out after making top 6, still getting shit for it. Will never forget that look Jyo shot me across the booth, the "why you shitting on my tourney StayFree??" look still haunts me today (lol). Let me just say I had a pretty good reason...

What is the top 5 CHARACTERS for OD COMBO in BBCP ?

Hakumen >Tsubaki > Mu > Amane > Bang or something like that. Amane needs a ton of meter for it but he can do 10k easily while Bang has the potential for a 4.6k reset following his 5-6k combo. Hakumen just does it off of grabs for nothing and Tsubaki can just ignore SMP and if she has her install available she too does like 9k off of basic starters.

The way OD is used now, it's more about how well you can confirm into it with a good and easy to land starter rather than examining how much damage you can do on a training dummy by initiating a combo after having activated OD. Also, how much OD you need to get the damage matters too. With full life Bang doesn't get much but Ragna and Litchi both can go into great combos out of easy to land moves like 5B. Examining full-duration-OD combos is fun but I think an overall analysis should take into account combos from varied OD durations rather than just the ultimate ones and that's kinda too soon to tell atm.

Woah now, the only way Tsubaki can get 9K is off of a 22D Fully charged starter in the corner, with 5 stocks to begin with, with 100 meter. that NEVER happens, and it will never ever happen in a real match.

Her OD+Mugen damage off of DP punishes with 5 stocks is 6-7K, but that's still all stocks spent and 100 meter. Also almost never happens. Basic starters only go into 4K or so.

Jin deserves to be in the top 5 more than Tsubaki, since he does get decent OD damage off of any basic starter AND uses less meter and doesn't have a secondary resource to worry about.

I'm sure there are some characters who's OD potential hasn't been realized yet, imo Ragna, Arakune, Nu, and maybe Azrael.

I'm pretty sure I've seen 5-6k practical in some videos lately - that's OD + Install Super and maybe a charge or two "in the bank" to get things started, but it's still pretty fierce and widely applicable. Definitely not Hakumen style stupid though.

Also, what about Hazama and his dumb "yay, I just keep hitting you with air chains and for some reason SMP never makes the combo drop" garbage?

JIN RAGNA and BULLET are not in the top with hakumen for best OD combo ??
