anyone who gets hit by Hakumen's 5a,2a,5b,2b,5c,2c,6a,6b,6c,3c,4c,j.A,j.2A,j.B,j.C,j.2C, 5d,2d,6d, jD, throw, air throw, guren, hotaru, zantetsu, kishuu, tsubaki, agito or renka deserves to lose most (if not all) of their health.

if he has 5+ stars and a OD ready and he touches you, you deserve anything you get.

also kinda funny how he has an attack that does more damage than the character whom its named for could ever pump out?

kinda moots her existence doesnt it?

Because you can....totally prevent him from auto-gaining resources?

GDI. WTF, Arcsys? Character that gets resources automatically gets devastating special moves. Character that has to stop and go into a counter hit state to gain resources gets junk?

I was wondering, does getting CP only on the triple mean that we won't be getting sprite, portrait, sound rips and the like? :toot:

...isn't that what CP is for? Getting a new form and having part of the story revolve around her seems like a spotlight to me.

Oh I mean gameplay wise. I like her as a character, love her new form, and like that she has more focus in the story; but as far as gameplay goes she is still in the doldrums.

Story aside, I want her to be a strong character that is used and appreciated by a lot of people. She has never had an S-A tier incarnation where lots of people pick her up, like most of the other characters have. In this respect she is in the same boat as the newbies and Tager.

Ragna, Valk, Hazama etc. get this treatment, but not Tsubaki.

You're more likely to hear, "Lol he picked Tsubaki...This guy had better be good or it's ass-whoopin time."

I'm not really confident even the Tsubaki mains will agree she's decent in cs2.....

she is decent, even good in CS2, I just won't agree with the people who retro-tiered her to S in CS2 because konan won a string of bo1s filled with mistakes on both sides against Noels in SBO.

People play Valkenhayn because they like Black Butler.

People play Litchi cause they like tits.

People play Hazama because he's a troll.

It's an anime game, no one's going to go towards a character as a new main based on balance alone.

Unless they're a tool.

Agreed. As usual, there is no "universal damage nerf"; They probably tried, but frankly, they didn't succeed. Jin's damage seems to have gone UP. Tsubaki's damage certainly went up (thank god). Hakumen's damage certainly didn't go DOWN.

I'd strike any broad statements about damage.

Also, it's not really that "game speed" has been upped (it hasn't) but that HITSTOP has been reduced rather a lot.

I think the "universal damage nerf" is something to accomodate Overdrives actually. You can't have old damage and keep ODs and not be completely ridiculous. Since everyone will have an option to do epic damage with OD cancels and stuff, OD cancel basically being a meterless RC, allowing you to potentially do stuff which would cost 150 meter in prior versions. For example, Hazama can just lulz 3C>OD from any confirm into like 3.5k now, for no meter, Ragna can 5B>5C>OD>5C>2D>dash cancel>4k now, again with no meter and with minimum duration OD.

They had to keep average damage slightly lower than in Extend to keep OD damage in check. Even with that we have chars like Hakumen or Mu who kick major ass, Bang's FRKZ combos seem to have similar output too.

one thing they did do universally was to reassign proration values.

generally they gave all overheads the same prorations, all lows the same prorations, etc. This got rid of all the special cases they added over the years, things that had particularly good or particularly bad prorations lost those properties. This is a good part of why tsubaki had her damage increased a lot. Some stuff also hit, like makoto's mar choppers. Jin's JC P1 went from 70 to 90, there are other examples. Doesn't feel like an attempt to universally nerf damage by any means to me. But well, they did nerf some stuff to make up for OD I guess. Some char's had their character proration nerfed.

Here are some universal changes I think:

-All characters now can do a long combo off of their standing overhead (midscreen). edit: except Jin

-All characters now have a bnb throw combo that does 3k to 4k damage (midscreen).
