The King's Games (BBCP 3v3)($200 in Prizes)
OmnixTSC replied to GBS Giovanni's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
Really? I thought I saw a few people bringing it up every now and again in the skype chat. At the very least, the participants should confirm whether they're dropping or still participating. It really sucks that this had to happen. There's a similar case of this happening in the P4A forums as well, sadly (thought that problem is more organizer oriented) -_- -
Yeah, I have some. I can make a short video of that after I finish the combo videos. I can definitely make a video on this. Will follow the combo videos as well. Just keep in mind that this might all take a while. I still have to organize some of my notes and actually get them online. I'll try to get this all done as soon as possible, though.
-
Oh, is there anything specific you guys would like to see? I'll try to make a note of it so I could possibly make a video of that as well.
-
If Randomizer does work on throws, you could probably mind-game people with it during your stagger pressure. Then they have lows, a high with hop cancels and 2B > OMC, a grab, and the potential Randomizer to worry about.
-
My capture card should be here tomorrow. I plan to start finishing up the Hakumemo and recording some things so I can have visual references ready for you guys. I'll also have some general videos ready for things like pressure, approaching, and knockdowns in the works.
-
Oh, that was me having a brain fart. I tried to anticipate the 2B anti-air by preemptively using D Garu, but I double jumped on accident before I input it. It was a bad idea, anyways.

Thanks for the response! I'll try to give you some kind of explanation for the points you brought up. My 5C habits were almost fixed before I stopped playing. Some of the 5Cs in this video were me missing things at neutral like C Agi or me trying to confirm something I thought I could and failing miserably. I was also trying something new and failing at that as well. I was trying to force my 5C to get blocked so that I could OMC and wait for them to punish it. That way, I could actually set up Maragi oki reliably or attempt to punish their punish (that sounds silly). Other than that, my 5C habits are pretty bad, lol. You'd have to explain this one to me, as I have no idea what you mean by this. That's more of a player thing than this being a match-up habit. Colpevole knows my Zio and Agi habits, so I have to opt out of using them most of the time to avoid getting punished at neutral or letting him approach me for free. Well, my confirms are kind of wonky now due to lack of practice. I was still auto-piloting a lot of stuff that had become almost second nature to me a few months ago. D Garu attempts are the biggest offenders. There were 1 or 2 instances in this video where I didn't have the meter to go for 2AB > SB Garu, though. That was me momentarily thinking I was playing BBCP. It happened a few times in this video, actually. When I wasn't trying to hop out of Chie Oki, I was attempting to jump and/or barrier (which is the reason I got hit by more anti-air 5Cs than I would have liked). I really had been playing primarily BBCP, and I still do that now. I do plan to play P4A more regularly now at least, haha.

This one is from...January? Anyways, feel free to tear me a new one as Token started uploading the footage from the last two tournaments we had on PSN. Here's the first match I can link: Colpevole Chie vs OmnixTSC Elizabeth

Good to hear. I've never had that problem with Dustloop, so I'm kinda curious as to what the actual issue was. Guess we'll find out at some point or another.

So I was playing on the PJS stream last night, and let me tell you...it was kind of entertaining. Not the matches themselves, as those were all over the place. The reactions to what was happening and to what others were typing in the stream chat was pretty funny. *cough* A-anyways...one of the things that really bothers me about playing on a casual stream is when you stop to comment on lag/delay. It's a given that there are going to be differences in latency from player to player. It's annoying, however, when people know this and yet still respond in a silly fashion to you saying something along the lines of, "I literally couldn't do anything that I normally would, haha." It's especially bad when the stream viewers call out the player you were against for mashing and then laugh when you complain about the blatantly obvious lag spikes and game freezes during rounds. Neither player wins b/c the stream gives them both some nonsensical response. Dulls the enjoyment for both parties

I think it might be the image itself that's the issue and not the resizing at this point. Also...I had no idea this thread even existed until today! It's very interesting, as I used to make avatars and things for people. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread
-
What program are you using for your resizing? It can make a difference when you're rendering/saving your edit. If you want, I can make one for you when I get home in a few hours. I don't have resizing issues, so it should work out.
-
I kinda doubt it's that bad. I just think they don't understand it and/or don't want to risk using it and throwing away rounds??? I honestly have no idea why we don't see it.
-
Kyo no Antorume is also notable, but he's not at Damosu/Ta's level. He doesn't really understand how to play her neutral game yet (though Damosu is still getting used to that) and his pressure is kind of lacking. He had some combos, though.
-
I actually assumed you did know b/c of that, but I wasn't 100% sure. I think the rest of the group doesn't know, though. As for actual discussion...does anyone have any ideas based on what we know about Liz at this point? I have some things I want to point out later this week (or maybe next week) based on some things we can probably make use of in the new game that we aren't seeing much of at this point.
-
Okay, this has gone on long enough. Do you guys STILL not know that Damosu and Ta are the same person? If so, I'm pretty entertained at the moment.
-
Well...that was kind of...I don't even know what to say. There's nothing to take away from this, sadly. :/

Most people skip the first part of the intro without checking and use the 2nd one to gauge any stuttering (or at least from what I've seen). I should have pointed out that it wasn't necessary if there's no stuttering, though. Thanks for catching that.
-
Sarcasm? I can't tell if you're serious (darn you internet). Regardless, I'll just point it out for the sake of Robi. Allowing intros (or at least the 2nd part of intros) to play out allows your connection to sync up with your opponent's. That's why it's a good idea to at least let it play out until it either ends or you can tell that it's synced properly (evidenced by a lack of small pauses in the intro). As for the stages, Yukiko and Mitsuru's stages were found to have the least amount of background effects, which leads to less data that has to be processed during a game. Whether you use them or not is entirely up to you (as you might prefer stage variety), just note the fact that this has been tested and these stages are the only ones allowed during events like online tournaments because of this.

P4A PSN Netplay Singles Tournament (Feb 16 2014 @ 3PM/4PM EST)
OmnixTSC replied to MastaToken's topic in P4A Online Play
GGs folks, I had some fun. Netplay was an issue for certain matches, but overall I think most people enjoyed it to some extent? Or at least I hope they did... -
But saying the characters both have skewed risk/reward scenarios doesn't make them all that similar. The way both characters approach said scenarios is so drastically different b/c of the difference in system mechanics as well as general play-style. You can't realistically say they're similar when ABA has more tools to address the fact that her risk/reward is skewed when compared to some of the other characters in GG. Liz doesn't have many tools pre-awakening or in awakening that helps her deal with her problems, and there aren't any mechanics in the game itself that help her either.

[CP1.1] Makoto Nanaya's Gameplay Discussion - When's 2.0?
OmnixTSC replied to HiagoX's topic in Makoto Nanaya
6B was just a means of forcing emergency tech during your oki. It wasn't necessary, but it was a way to mix things up to give your knockdown oki a little more variety. I'll miss it -
Enma follow-up to drives should scale harder. You get too much damage off of it, lol.
