Wild Candy Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Please...all of you...just stop. Okay, sorry. Back on topic. I think Amane's astral is pretty cool. I think it would be cool to see all the characters all kidified or de-aged, or what ever you wan to call it. The younger version of Noel is just so adoable. And even ax kid, Ragna still looks like he'll snap you head off or something like that.
Digital Masta Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I didn't realize there was an actual location test this past week because I haven't been to the arcade in over a month but I got a few videos and I hope to get a few more tomorrow (can't go today). The Bullet player is Shingo, 3rd place finisher Akihiko player at SBO http://kyushufgc.wordpress.com/2012/11/12/2nd-blazblue-chrono-phantasma-location-test-fukuoka-taito-station/?preview=true&preview_id=36&preview_nonce=3545f0353d
WolfCrimson Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 MOTHERFUCKING YEESSSSSSS!!! VIDEEOOOOOSSS!! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU SO MUCH!!!!
Starlight777 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Digital Masta you are awesome. So Ragna's Dead Spike is an actual projectile now instead of a pseudo projectile? Bullet is looking really good.
mAc Chaos Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 The way she fights kind of reminds me of KoF characters.
WolfCrimson Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 So Ragna's Dead Spike is an actual projectile now instead of a pseudo projectile? Bullet is looking really good. Did you see how huge it is? It went like 1/2 screen distance.
Starlight777 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Did you see how huge it is? It went like 1/2 screen distance. I don't know how to feel about him finally being able to shoot zoners back lol.
WolfCrimson Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 "Joutai Hen-" "DEADO SPIKE!" EDIT: AND IT"S FUCKING DASH CANCELLABLE.... ON WHIFF.
Afro-Demon Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) 1. Dead spike is insanely huge now. 2. Arakune has become about 5 times more interesting, and the fact that curse is less about "16 seconds of god mode" as it is just "5-7 bugs at the end of my combo for near 4k+ oki + 50% curse." 3. I know people were saying it's faster before, but jesus, it was really noticable in the bang video. I really like so far the direction it's going. Thank you Digital Master for uploading these. I hope if you have the time you could get more of these before the test is over. Edited November 12, 2012 by Afro-Demon
WolfCrimson Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Kune's 6D bug not appearing further than the edge of the screen seems to help his corner game a lot. I bet he could do unblockable resets. Edited November 12, 2012 by WolfCrimson
ElegantShadow Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEOS DIGITAL MASTA! Bullet is looking awesome [she seems more like a rush-down character than a grappler IMHO] And Ragna's Dead Spike now being a projectile sounds quite interesting. [And it being dash-cancelable might give him a good tool to get in on the opponent.] As for Arakune... well I can't say much, but he looks like he might play a bit differently now. And THANK YOU AGAIN DIGITAL MASTA! :D
SoWL Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Damn, Bullet's looking fiiine. She almost got 5k damage in a corner combo with nothing but Heat-Up, and the range of her Drive follow-up is better than I expected, allowing her to combo even mid-screen with some nice wall bounce. Good to finally see people who actually play the characters instead of checking out their new features.
Narroo Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Arakune's new spider attack is a little comical looking. You don't think he might turn into a less extreme version of Dr.Baldhead to Faust, do you? I mean, most of the original characters were Guilty Gear Expies, so hm.... Also, how the heck do the Japanese players learn combos for new characters in the arcade? I can't even manage to get combos down in training mode.... Edited November 12, 2012 by Narroo
TekkamanArk Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Does anyone have a list of what the known Crush Triggers do? I mean like a general idea of animation, attack range, etc.
TPPR10 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 YES! GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE! No gameplay on Taokaka, but I'll take what is served. Bit funny how Arakune only now can summon, you know, SPIDERS. There seems to be bit of delay when you summon it, but it might try to drop down over the opponent's head if opponent if far enough. On Crush Trigger, I think I heard that Ragna's Crush Trigger is his old Dead Spike, and I guess Arakune's is the one where he turns into that strange figure with multiple masks from that one screenshots long time ago. BIt dissapointed how the Bullet player blocked Litchi's new DD. Wanted to see it.
WolfCrimson Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Each Crush trigger has a unique animation, so it's hard to tell what their range is etc, (but from what I've seen most of them seem to not have much range... like almost Noel's 5C range...but I'm just eyeballin' it) But it is known that it's around 20 frames startup non-charged, and can be charged.
Darlos9D Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Maybe it's just the sound quality, but those hit sounds are sounding a lot louder and meatier/crunchier. I like. I always felt like the hit sounds in BB were kinda weak. Like it always felt weird to punch somebody as Tager and just get a moderate "whuup" Edited November 12, 2012 by Darlos9D
Darlos9D Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Ragna's new Dead Spike looks coolio. Shit yeah. And he can also do that claw super whenever he wants? Awesome. I might actually pick him up. The new dead spike and overall system/style/pacing makes him feel properly Sol-like.
SolxBaiken Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I didn't realize there was an actual location test this past week because I haven't been to the arcade in over a month but I got a few videos and I hope to get a few more tomorrow (can't go today). Loving the way Bullet looks, some awesome pressure game! I think this is the first time I've watched Arakune mirrors...and they look awkward lol and >.< spider drop move! What the hell to everything Ragna, he controls so much space now with new lulzy Dead Spike and Blood Scythe looks to have a good range. @.@ titles & icons on screen .x. welp now to wait for imminent release
Moy_X7 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 lol, Arakune's Curse meter duration got nerfed like a mofo.
Airk Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 noice! Loving the way Bullet looks, some awesome pressure game! Opposite impression for me. Don't like either her aesthetics or the fact that she just looks like another "get up in your face and flail around do mixups" character. Unhype for her compared to the other two. What the hell to everything Ragna, he controls so much space now with new lulzy Dead Spike and Blood Scythe looks to have a good range. A little annoyed about giving Ragna a projectile - I thought having the main character NOT be a "DP/Projectile/Advancing attack" pseudo-shoto was a breath of fresh air compared to the general trend. On the other hand, noticed that Hell's Fang 2 didn't knock down? That's interesting. o.o
Bibiquadium Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 And Makoto's cleavage has a reason to be, she needs them to stack the nuts that she throws at people.
suna19 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I just need some Platinum footage and I'll have a good day. and yes, the new hit sounds are nice and powerful
MashThat5A Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 On the other hand, noticed that Hell's Fang 2 didn't knock down? That's interesting. o.o The Ragna never lands Tsukika (let alone a combo). It still knocks down.
