YukiBlue Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 You guys, pls. We get offline matches while waiting for online matches, online training mode, online replay theatre, all man melee, room chat, on addition to the already announced 8 man player rooms PLUS 64 man lobby mode. And you guys are zeroing in on the freaking BOX ART?You clearly don't know how we run shit around here :lordknight: - I'm incredibly psyched for Online training mode and that bonkers 64 man lobby nonsense. SO impressed with what they're offering
SolxBaiken Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 That's no excuse. Why does it have to be complaining? No one can talk about the obvious and personal benefits of being able to pay offline while waiting for a match? Or the many ways to implement teaching execution, showing examples and annotations in the online replay theater, the ability to essentially hold an online class on almost anything you would teach someone in BB, from simple controls to in depth match ups to high level combos; the ability and choice to teach by demonstration or example? None of that is even worth starting a conversation on? It has to be complaining. But it's a bad cover .v. And anyone who's played a modern Capcom game pretty much knows what's up so there isn't much ["new"] to talk about because we don't know how well implemented and functioning these features are since this is Arc's first time running with them. Also, a good majority of users don't know when [no solid release window for non-importers, which is a minority] or if [PS3 only release] they're going to play. But if you want to go ahead and start planning your "Team Me, Skye-anoe" sessions, then by all means go ahead~ Just leave me be to complain about stuff I have no power over! But yes, I am stoked to have my Capcom+Bamco features in BB
Tokkan Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 But it's a bad cover .v. Honestly, anyone who worries more about the cover than the actual game itself is being pretty damn silly.
SolxBaiken Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 lol, but I'm not worried at all about the game, I already like what I see [though my preferred character of choice might be a bit low tier ; -;] and unlike the netplay discussion going on earlier, I'm not too worried as Arc usually delivers [for me]. So back to my candy analogy, if I already like the treat why can't I demand a better wrapper!? ; w;
Lord Pwnge18 Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 But it's a bad cover .v. I like it. #got #em #gotem
00Bubbles00 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Is the waifu box the Famitsu DX pack? I might get it just for the unique box, and possibly lewd wall scroll which I haven't seen yet... Aksys will likely only release 1 cover version for NA I'm sure, same as with the old games.
SolxBaiken Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Both the LE and Famitsu DX have the same cover, just the DX gets a wider box (to accommodate for scroll) And Aksys always have alternate covers [one for the box, one for the actual game case] for the ones they release LEs for (CT, CSE).

Don't forget the Game Manuals too, mostly based on JP ver covers/boxart from CT and CS (Ext. is the same as boxart, so yeah). I'm liking where all these updates to the game is going, just still gotta play the waiting game.
Litherain-XIII Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Well I personally love the fact that online training mode is FINALLY included because that's something I needed for a while with all the hassle I go through trying to help ppl get into bb or learning some stuff with limited resources.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 the ps3 box cover revealed for BBCP http://www.famitsu.com/news/201307/24036805.html Lol, Noel got replaced...or promoted depending on how you look at it. Well I personally love the fact that online training mode is FINALLY included because that's something I needed for a while with all the hassle I go through trying to help ppl get into bb or learning some stuff with limited resources. No longer will I have to type out what things like RC, Bursts, are anymore. This game is gonna be gdlike.
Moy_X7 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I just want the option to set the "Block Switching" to "Random" as opposed to just "Enabled" and "Disabled". That way I can practice hit-confirming Jin's 6A CH so that I don't spend my meter on a RC when I could have just confirmed with 66 5B and so that I can practice hit-confirming Plat's TK Swallow j.B so that I can go into JC > Fuzzy j.B if it gets blocked as opposed to just auto-piloting into 66 5A/5C.

Can't you sortof approximate these by just using random block?
Chaoschao222 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Yeah, random block or even multiple blocking playbacks set to random.
Moy_X7 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Mmm, you're right, setting it to random would be pretty much the same thing as long as the OH is the first thing I do in the block string. Oh well, I guess I don't want anything else then lol
Arc Raizen Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Everyone is going crazy of Online Training Mode, but I must have missed exactly what that entails and any post explaining it is likely a lost cause to find now. Anyone mind giving me a really quick explanation?

kosmos badgirl Posted July 24, 2013 Author Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Both the LE and Famitsu DX have the same cover, just the DX gets a wider box (to accommodate for scroll) I have some famitsu dx packs for other games and the wall scroll always comes apart, it's too big. Luminos564 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 OK, so everyone is happy with having an Online Training mode. That's nifty and all I suppose, but could someone explain to me how this is might help or work even? If the idea behind it is to create a sort of mentor-student environment between two people online, how would the mentor convey what they want to the student outside of both parties getting a mic? I mean, I guess you could use messages but would that not break the flow of the "training session", stopping every time one person gets one to read it and respond?
mAc Chaos Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 You would need a mic, probably. Not really that big a sacrifice.
Chaoschao222 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Well yes, they should have mics. Why wouldn't you have a mic. Talking to people's da bess.
Luminos564 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 Well yes, they should have mics. Why wouldn't you have a mic. Talking to people's da bess. Because I cannot stand people who abuse mics. Going around, entering rooms, spewing needless bigotry and then leaving after pissing everyone off, usually after you Haku-men counter them to death . Then again, I suppose I'd only be training with people I "know" from previous encounters. I mean, it costs just around $20 to get one no?
Kurushii Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) I mean, it costs just around $20 to get one no? Any bluetooth one you use on cell phones, and majority of USB ones will work no problem. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=PS3%20mic If you already have a 3.5mm headset lying around the house then just buy one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Syba-SD-CM-UAUD-Adapter-C-Media-Chipset/dp/B001MSS6CS/ for only $7.96+ship Edited July 24, 2013 by Kurushii

Though my next question would be on what the sound quality is for these things? Also, thanks for linking these Kurushii.

The only mic I've ever used on PS3 was the official bluetooth one that came out ages ago. It was decent enough to do the job. Not studio quality of course. I don't own that adapter but i'm considering buying one to link my audio mixer to so I don't have to use another headset when I stream BBCP.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 24, 2013 Posted July 24, 2013 I just use my Turtle Beach P11 set, its a bitch to setup, but it gets the job done. Or, just do what I do and use an IM service like Steam.
