Airk Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Comcast is about as bad as satellite. Got stuck with them for a year, couldn't do much of anything unless everyone in the surrounding block was gone. Ass ISP. Comcast actually varies heavily with location; In some places it is complete crap, but in some places (Generally: Large metropolitan areas) they've put in some actual honest to goodness infrastructure and it's not half bad at all.

Yeah, I'm not exactly an expert on females, but you'd think Terumi would be a downgrade from Hazama. i mean, Hazama has a high class job and a snazzy suit-type thing. Terumi, on the other hand looks like a poor drug dealer. Unless they plan on introducing yaoi elements to the story I don't see how Terumi is an improvement for female gamers. tofurr Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Yeah, location is pretty key. I used Comcast years ago and it was great and fast initially. I then moved about 3-5 miles away from the first location and the internet became shit and would drop connection all the time.

Things like people being kicked out of my room or even more hilarious, myself getting kicked out of my room post Player Match despite neither party doing it on purpose. Although, I am told this is more of a fault with the servers as opposed to my connection since I can get 2, 3 and sometimes 4 bars regularly. But, back to the point: even if I wanted to go wired, I am too far away from the router to string the wires together up a flight of stairs nor can I drill through the floor for it. Life really does suck when your earnings are just not enough as otherwise I'd just set up a router in my own room . Edited July 23, 2013 by Luminos564

Casual players tend to favor the flash and spectacle of fgs over most things, having a lot of distortion drives definitely helps that appeal. The "female" part of it I think was a bit of misguided generalizing.

Thanks for the tip. Well, at least 100ft worth of cable is reassuring so I can look into that for an option. Now I just have to go and figure out how to not make this a hazard as I live with a group of people who are not gamers themselves, yet we all share that one router. For what it's worth, my wireless ping is 15 Ms. Dunno how good or bad that is, though as I said, I haven't had many problems with wireless before...unless I am playing something like the Transformers War for Cybertron Online Multiplayer (hello, take one step forward and fall through the floor as I apparently jumped off a ledge).
