A date for BBCP 2.0 hasn't been give yet, right? I'm only asking because a upcoming ArcLive (9th) that is going to be streamed on the 10 September is called "right before BBCP version up & TGS2014 special".

From what I understand, the arc live is mostly about answering BBCP 2.0 twitter questions with the hashtag: #あーくなま一問一答

So does this confirm that there will be no second location test or what?

All I am seeing on JP players' twitters are questions in prep for the event about ODR.

IMO one seems good enough just to build some hype but other then that how much constructive feedback are you going to get from an open test? I bet most of the stuff an average/casual play says would lead to stupid stuff like crazy normal DMG, infinite combos, and/or LOTS of +frame moves.

On a positive note they seem to be trying to give the whole cast a unique feel. Also they are toning down the top tiers a decent amount and leveling the playing field more.

Speak for yourself. Some of us are getting shafted.

Yeah. You're going to be so "shafted" that your character might be in the same tier as the characters that haven't broken out of low tier in 3 iterations now.  The horror.

I can only hope they do the same to Kokonoe and Litchi.

I want everyone to be good. This patch doesn't seem like it did that. Making everyone terrible just makes things sound... not so fun. So far it looks like instead of a character having a strength and a weakness, they just butchered their strength and didn't give much to compensate for it. Honestly, I really hope the patch isn't finalized. This is really gonna kill my enthusiasm for playing if there's only a handful of characters left intact.

This is how probably most Kagura players are looking at his changes.

Vanillia: My C normals are a little slow but my 6A gatling lets me do really strong mix-ups.

1.1: Well my C normals got faster, but my 6C lost head invul so my only real anti-air is my flash kick...and I can't get a meterless combo from 6A now...but my stance moves got better overall with Stance 6A getting better and having great oki in the corner from Stance 2A.

2.0:  So my only anti-air option now has a head-invul version which is the same as the previous type with the C version now being heavily unsafe probably on air-barrier block.  Stance 2A now lost its utility since it doesn't do hard-knockdown into B orb oki...who thought that a charge move would be acceptable as the only anti-air to rely on?

Kagura's only strength as an oki character is getting butchered in 2.0 with the current information provided.  At this rate I'll be buddy tier with Makoto who also lost some of her oki ability...Great.

Don't be ridiculous. No one in this game NOW is "terrible", not even Makoto or Tsubaki and there are no signs that anyone has been reduced below that level.

And you know? Some characters strengths? Probably too strong to balance.

Would I rather they buffed up the low tiers?  Maybe. Depends on how.  But a lot of characters need taken down a notch or three, and acting like the sky is falling when they do is silly.

Holding every character to the standard of Tsubaki is also silly. What I'm sayin is they did a lot of changes from Ex to CP to speed the game up. Now they're removing a ton of threatening aspects of characters and making their gameplay more difficult to run, which is kinda counter intuitive given what the changes were made for.

That is nice and all but it's about one of the strongest dp's in the game: which is insanely long active, uncrossable and unpunishable when blocked in air.  I see Kagura players practically mashing his dp when someone is jumping towards him.

So i think they basically splitted his dp as different tools. Just see your b version as your anti-air and your c version as a dp, your charge move is still a much better anti-air than what most characters in the cast have

I really hope they do more revising on this honestly. With the way this patch sounds, i'll never be able to play online, because I refuse to download this patch. The literal only way i'd download it as it stands would be if they announced Jubei as playable, otherwise it's a big "let's make everyone terrible" change like the garbage that was BBCSEX.

I liked Ex better than CP, but thats neither here nor there. But yeah, a lot of people don't seem like they're liking the patch. Some bad characters only got worse, and some good characters went straight to terrible, its just a mess.

You won't be downloading 'this patch' either way.. because they're gonna sell it as a whole new game (most likely).

Please don't overreact to changes in the loketest. I remember complaints about how hazama and hakumen were going to be garbage in CP during the loketests.

We all know how that turned out.

Kagura mashing a charge move...People keep saying that without really thinking about it.

Because Kagura doesn't have an actual normal with head invul he needs to have a flash kick charged and done in anticipation to jump-ins.  His Flash kick is only considered safe because it needs to be barrier-blocked in the air which gives extra pushback combined with the number of hits.  If you have a good ground game the flash kick now has to be carefully used and is able to be baited easily since he has a big deadzone between his A and B normals range to his C normal range.

Reducing the natural pushback on air-barrier block would've been a better  alternative since technically he's around -13 or so on air-block (-26 on ground block) and it is the pushback that makes it difficult to punish.  If they increase the C version's recovery than he will be even more minus and it is a charge move so he can't IB or block overheads and then do [2]8C as a reversal.

Moot point, because there are several characters who dont have anti-air normals with head invul (Terumi, Bang, Izayoi and Valk and pre-cp we had Litchi) or characters with nearly useless very late head invul AA like Tager or pre-CP Jin

Amane also has a huge deadzone, so what?

I dont see the problem... His b flashback will be like the old one but without full invull and his c dp is more punishable on block in the air

Quoted for fuckin truth. Loitest's are always doing funky shit, there's no need to panic until the finished product comes out. Then you can start wallowing in despair.

In all seriousness, there's no chance that all of these changes, as they are, will stand. Everyone will still be playable in the end, so have a little faith.

Even better then, I won't have to worry about downloading anything. I could just wait for the next game.

And, I did say that i'm only against the changes if they stick how they currently are. CP loketest =/= CP release.

Holding every character to the standard of Tsubaki is also silly.

Why?  It's not like she's nonfunctional, she's just overpowered by the rest of the cast.

As long as the whole cast is held to the same standard, I think there's a whole lot of whining for nothing here.  Great. You are accustomed to being better than everyone else.  Somehow, I lack sympathy.

I'm not accustom to being better than everyone, otherwise why the hell would I sub Kagura? Point null and void. You lack sympathy because you always bring up ypur character and complain about her being low tier or everyone else being better. WE GET IT. But comparing a 26 charactwr cast to one low tier character when there'smore characters better than her than not better.iisn't gonna help things. She needs help, not nerf everyone to her levels and below

Nah man it's fine, you didn't need Ignis snap pressure, just like I didn't need strong high/low. Better yet, let's have Relius only regain doll meter while crouching. Don't worry he has amazing anti airs to cover himself! All in the name of fairness, right???!!!
