crimsonstardust Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Has there been any hitbox and hurtbox data out for CP in general? I haven't seen anything on the wiki pages for it.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 We just kind of assume most of the hitboxes haven't changed from EX.
Airk Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 We just kind of assume most of the hitboxes haven't changed from EX.  Which is probably not a good assumption, because while most of them probably haven't, the ones that have could be extremely relevant. But, we have no choice.
crimsonstardust Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 We just kind of assume most of the hitboxes haven't changed from EX. Well even if that is true doesn't help that we wouldn't know the ranges for CP new characters, cause that's what I'm mostly looking for, oh well I guess I'm gonna have to guess work.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Pretty much, just do it the old fashioned way and see where everything hits.
Dreiko Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I believe the Amazon date as they had been (give or take a few days) correct in the past with these games. This is why I imported.

Dreiko Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 offtopic but oh well-- I mustve read your sig a thousand times before just recently realizing you probably didnt mean combo dmg but it was in fact a bit of a roleplay... Haha, yes, it really was just Bang with his clone bros training to improve the move. MORE CLONES! :p.   on-topic:  So how bout that nerfed barrier gauge duration.
Myoro Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I think there's less points of barrier in general. I noted this when CP2 first came out. IIRC Danger lasts longer too.
heavymetalmixer Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I think there's less points of barrier in general. I noted this when CP2 first came out. IIRC Danger lasts longer too. Â I see a lot of people only blocking with barrier online, it looks like ASW hates that too..
Dreiko Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Yeah basically the gauge runs out more for the same actions in cp2. Functionally it means you can't barrier as much.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Yeah basically the gauge runs out more for the same actions in cp2. Functionally it means you can't barrier as much.  You mean people will actually have to start learning how to block properly?   0/10, don't wanna play.
TD Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 There is more than one option to block. Using barrier all the time implies that is was the easiest, least risky way to get people off of you, therefore nerf. Normal block, barrier and instant all have their role in ensuring characters get out of many situations, and "should" be used as such. This is not to say it was broken by any means, just needed some harmony between its two brethren.
Dreiko Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Barrier increases your blockstun by a frame so it's really not good at all to use it in every instance. It may make something which is otherwise punishable become unpunishable. If this change helps people adjust to the way the blockstun behaves more it's a good one.
kosmos badgirl Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Â PANEL: BlazBlue Past, Present and Future with Toshimichi Mori (Director) Talk with the creator about the past, present and future of the fighting game franchise, BlazBlue from Arc System Works. Â http://arcsystemworksu.com/blazblue-schedule-of-events-at-sakura-con-2015/ Â Â I wonder if Mori will give any hint about the next game.
chzchan Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I thought that the barrier nerf was just a rumor, but after seeing people go into negative penalty so often across the hours of match videos I have watched, I guess it is true. This is a pretty huge buff to rushdown characters. I wonder what exactly they changed about it? The drain from just holding down 4A+B, the actual barrier that gets drained when a move is block, or both? Â I'm glad they are nerfing it, though. It was made much too powerful in BBCP. There is almost no reason to use instant barrier with how ridiculous the pushback is on regular barrier.
Myoro Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 You mean people will actually have to start learning how to block properly?   0/10, don't wanna play.  It's actually one of my favorite changes in CP2.0. It effectively made Crush Triggers more useful outside of combos, made chicken blocking a wee bit more costly. Danger state adds a 1.5 damage modifier, and makes it so you can't stop air unblockables or dash recovery which is super frightening in theory, but it was never really seen because we have so freekin' much barrier and it regens too dang fast.  I never barrier much myself (I think I've only been in "danger" once outside of an Amane fight in all my CP experience) so I can't imagine it'll affect me negatively too much... on the other hand I can't wait to torment people with [5A+B>2D] blockstring loops when they get even a little low on barrier. Maybe even Bios>5A+Bx2 if I feel like it. I feel evil brewing.   I thought that the barrier nerf was just a rumor, but after seeing people go into negative penalty so often across the hours of match videos I have watched, I guess it is true. There is almost no reason to use instant barrier with how ridiculous the pushback is on regular barrier.  It looks to me like theree's less points of barrier stored in the gauge in general. Quicker drain and more consumption all around. Additionally I believe Danger lasts longer and barrier regens slower but I'm unsure.
chzchan Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 If there are less "barrier points" doesn't that mean that it will regen faster? Maybe they cut the points but kept the regen rate the same visually.
StylisH Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 You mean people will actually have to start learning how to block properly?   0/10, don't wanna play.  Oh, the scandal
Zedar90 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Since it doesn't seems like have been posted her yet, this weeks famitsu scan. It's introducing Kokonoe's story a little more. Â Looks like it starts around the time Hakumen have been salvaged and goes to the capturing of Azrael.

BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So wait, Azrael was sealed after she salvaged Hakumen? Wouldn't that mean the former was sealed a little before the start of CT?
