zeth07 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 (edited) Does everyone else actually want any DLC for Chrono Phantasma? Edited October 21, 2012 by zeth07
Vulcan422 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Alternatively, if they're already on the disc, make them free and have them time-released like TTT2's "DLC" characters.
SolxBaiken Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 You guys better stop before Circ comes in here, yells, deletes, and temp bans. Anyways I've been trying to review Bullet footage again, I wonder how well her Drive (pre-Heat Up) will be good (if at all) or being an anti-air or beating holes in pressure, since the opponent should be within a close proximity.
zeth07 Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 No it's not. Because they're actually adding shit not previously present in the game AND being 2D sprites don't make things easier. If Makoto, Valky and Platina were already in disc and they still had you paying money for it, I'd understand your position. But they weren't, it took time to develop them.
Star-Demon Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Do we have a list of crush trigger moves, yet?

Star-Demon Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Surprisingly no, I don't believe so, I wish people had experimented with them more in the past loktest vids we got v.v
Hecatom Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Nuts. I could be Theoryfighting about what to use for pressure and mixup! http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb157/starsickle/Postables/PUSHBUTTONS.gif
Julimano Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I doubt just holding the button would lead to a TRM in BBCP at least, that would be counter-productive to it's purpose if you ask me and don't see why you would want that. But TRM itself could still be there in BBCP for pretty much the same reason it is now. Basically TRM from pure mashing should be gone in practice cause people have no reason to do that, but TRM from actually trying to mash/OS throw tech should still apply.
Circuitous Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Things we're not allowed to discuss any more because you're all really bad at it: DLC characters. This thread isn't Dustloop's way of asking you to try and tell the future, and we're not a high school debate team. It's a place for you to discuss/give your opinions on things we know about Chrono Phantasma so far. Any further speculation/guessing/wishlisting is getting infracted/banned, period. It serves no purpose beyond giving you a chance at quoting yourself a few months in the future and going "Called it!" If your idea of a reasoned argument is calling the other party stupid and shoving a in there somehwere, you're getting infracted/banned, period. If you disagree with an opinion, fine, but keep the discussion civil and try not to look like a bigger idiot than the person you're against. Oh, and don't let someone else's off-topic post derail the entire thread by getting into a discussion about it. Ignore the post and move on. Use the Report function (underneath the post itself) if you think it's that bad, but don't make it any worse. Are we all clear?
Adelheid Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I love to purple grab people who just mash to get out of a combo, and I think it should still be TRM if you just hold the button from the start of the combo and sit there, or it will be too easy to simple ignore a part of the defensive game (ie: should I just hold the button from the start or should risk taking damage from "blue beat" combo because the other player missed a link and wait until the right time to tech?)

Zuranamee Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Speaking of hyping over themes, before Nu and Mu were revealed, people were quoting the remixed theme total for proof they were cut. Does this mean they don't get remixes, or other themes were cut?

jak d ripr Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 So is there any place where I can find relatively comprehensive descriptions of the new characters? I don't frequent these forums so I've been out of the loop pretty much since the game was announced and Im trying to catch up but the OP lacks any news so Im not entirely sure where I should begin my search.

SolxBaiken Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Indeed Bullet is a grappler, apparently her Drive was originally intended for Tager but was scrapped. She's a very mobile grappler since her Drive generates a ring (which starts off pretty small but expands as it's held) around her and if the opponent is in range she'll zip at them and preform her strike, which then allow her to combo afterwords. While in her "Heat Up" state the ring will begin at a much larger expansion and some of her moves will have additional properties. Personally the character I'm most interested in due to the speedy offense, it will be interesting to see how she develops in the later stages of the meta game.
Antitidus Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Man I kinda have mixed feelings about these overdrives. This means the typical bang player will activate FU-RIN-KA-ZAN every round -_-
Moy_X7 Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) ... They have to be really bad at mashing to be getting TRM'd from mid combo purple throws. "Don't press B when pianoing" should really have been a day 1 realization. Like, how is that even an issue? Pretty much this. If you mash A and A alone and you stop immediately after the tech flash, then you're safe. Holding a button to tech is going to be a huge blessing, just gotta be careful with those traps/resets. KayEff Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Man I kinda have mixed feelings about these overdrives. This means the typical bang player will activate FU-RIN-KA-ZAN every round -_- if they do it at the start of every round, then FRKZ won't last long. if they want it to last longer, they won't be able to use it every round. trading FRKZ in turn for a green burst isn't going to be a smart decision anyways. i don't see the problem.
SoWL Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Do we have a list of crush trigger moves, yet? There isn't supposed to be "A list" of Crush Trigger moves, it's universal for each character. It's always performed by pressing A+B, costs 25 meter, can be charged (probably to remove more Barrier when blocked by one), and removes about as much Barrier as if it was guard primers (so, for example, Ragna blocking a CT would lose 20%, while Noel would lose 25%). There may be some differences between characters, but no one figured them out yet.
