Yes, but it remains to be seen if she'll be good enough in CP2 or not.

I'd say not to sleep on her just yet. She's been nerfed considerably, but she's still an incredibly versatile character with all of her tools still intact. It will definitely take a lot of lab time before we really see where she stands, but for now she looks solid. Just watch Matoi, he's still tagging and bagging with her.

Tldr: I'd rather fight her over CP2 potato Ragna.

I think it does. Why not? They fucked this one up more than any update to BB I can remember. It's the first time, imo, that an update has actually left the game worse. Lot of people quitting, big names.

They already said the timing of console depends on how arcade goes..

I've been outta the loop for a bit but where or how exactly did they blunder with 2.0?

All I know is that Nu is apparently top tier but surely it can't be CT Nu now can it?

Is Nu the primary cause of this? Or is it a combination of things? I have seen a lot of hate for Nu in this version update and it's pretty justified. I'll still use her, of course, since she's the only character I've ever used in BB, I just liked to think I won with her because I was good with her. But it seems I can get away with only using 5D/4D and win a good portion of my games.

Some argue that she's better than CT Nu or really close. The difference being that in this version of the game, Nu has counters. Hazama didn't exist in CT and her current counters didn't have enough tools at the time. Kokonoe was a counter once, but all the nerfs to her probably flipped the match up.

well they said it depends on the arcade which I think means that the worse the arcade does the quicker we'll get it.  I don't think they want to put it out when the arcade is thriving because that will take people away from the arcade.

A factor but I wouldn't say primary cause... it might be the primary cause if your arcade is full of nus.  She is a pretty terrible top tier to have. Braindead play is too strong. 5d vs 6d isn't thinking.

Balance is certainly worse overall than CP1.1.

But a large part I think is that changes are too small for how long it has been.  Cp was out 2 years then this. 2 years is a long time in the history of BB...  Plus various characters got really lame changes.

I'm getting mixed messages here. All the character subforums I care about (Bullet, Tager, Plat) love the new changes, but apparently, they aren't that big and the balance is horrible? I can't help but think of it as a knee-jerk reaction, though it's probably way too late for that. While I am looking forward to trying out the new Bullet on my PS3, what's the point if there's no one to play against?

I think it does. Why not?

Because of all the reasons people were mentioning while discussing the potential disc release? Such as including the Vita bonus modes, pushing Lambda that probably won't sell that much as DLC, new BGM, all that jazz. Mind you, I've been on the patch side of the argument all along, but ASW can still just go for a quick buck and try to earn as much money as they can by publishing a physical copy. And then maybe make a 2.1 patch or whatever.

balance is tweaked but changes aren't very interesting. Some chars received changes that make em directly less interesting and fun to play by removing options.

balance is tweaked so it's kind of 'no shit' that characters that benefit a lot are happy.

balance is tweaked but we're looking at a very familiar S tier too.  Jin, Litchi, Valk, Hazama, Ragna, plus Nu (not a good thing)?

new chars have no place in the game (basically celica is trash, lambda is a very inferior version of Nu)

It's kinda boring when there's actual fresh stuff out there atm for people to do.

For a physical copy, I don't know. There's extra work/costs involved in that I think so if you don't expect the game to sell much, I dunno. EX had good reception I think.  Cp2's reception in Japan is not so good...

Shrug.

Last I heard more people played 2.0 at arcades than Xrd. Source might be shaky.

I'm a Bullet-player whose hype for 2.0 even if I believe Bullet to be weaker than she is in 1.1.

I've seen someone playing xrd like once. bb still has people at the arcades for sure.

It's definitely still a fun game*.

*Not against Nu

2.0 is mostly an update that I question the purpose of.  Were people really unhappy with 1.1?  It seems like it only exists to add new characters, and it seems to be established that that could have been done better, given that there is literally no reason to play Lambda over Nu and Celica suffers from some really bad design choices.  It just seems like a case of fixing something that isn't broke, but whatever I guess.  It's just that it seems so unnecessary that it's given me BB ennui if not outright disinterest.

I kind of have mixed feelings on this topic. If we just look at the changes to Bullet herself, I believe Bullet has definitely gotten stronger. But on the other hand, the Bullet vs Nu matchup is definitely even shittier (Hard to imagine this was even possible until it happened) this time around and a lot more people are/are going to be playing Nu than 1.1 so we're more likely to run into this matchup.  In my mind, it's hard to say if the strength gained in other matches really outweighs the difficulty spike we'll be getting if we run into a Nu in a tournament setting. *shrugs* eh, we'll see. TIme with the update will give me a clearer picture on Bullet's current situation.

I just dont understand why they nerfed relius pressure game but give it to nu. why nerf azrael momentum wise but give the best of that to nu? why nerf rachels options but give nu more options? why give tsubaki a null and void stigma on her drive's functionality instead of giving her some real help but make nu's gravity seed ridiculously good for no reason with no real recovery while making rachels wind recovery shitty as hell and kokonoe's gravitons? why make new options and tools for makoto. bullet, bang, celica, mu-12 and others but give nu the fuckin cream of the crop with a damage consistency to boot at the end of the sugar coated rainbow?? they clearly didnt give a fuck about balancing imo saying "oh we are focusing on how (fun) the characters play and balancing some stuff" when they on the flip side nerfed the very elements that made the characters fun in the first place overall. I cant see how anyone in ASW can honestly laugh this shit off and shrug their shoulders. I was expecting a patch a "rebalance patch" not a "oh shit is that nu from CT....and the top tier are ragna...litchi...Nu...wait NU!?! we going full circle again hold up wat the fu- THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING!"

If your character was already top tier then most likely you have issues with 2.0 (tons of nerfs). If said character was not then most likely you enjoy 2.0 (tons of buffs). Ppl just have mixed feeling for obvious reasons.

A braindead top tier for a braindead game, fitting.

Sadly for me, Terumi is one of the exceptions. He was mid-tier in 1.1 and now is low tier.

Your first three questions can be answered with: they took away Nu's 4B. Her pressure and momentum (I guess) were increased because they took away her ability to consistently open people up. They also gave her more options because they took away 4B and various parser moves (Luna 236D as well).

The reason why gravity seed is ridiculously good is because they took away Phase Lift (22A). They wanted some semblance of that gameplay to remain with Nu, but much easier to do. There is no reason I can think of as to why Nu's damage is so consistently good. In previous games her damage was medium-to-high but she couldn't get it all the time (CT being the exception).

Somehow all these changes lined up to Nu being really good, heavily disliked (nothing new here actually), and painful to play against. The good news is Nu is fairly easy to nerf, unlike consistent top-tiers who have very good game mechanics. We'll just have to bow to our Nu overloads for one patch.

CP1 was getting old I guess.

1.1 wasn't so much of a patch, most characters didn't change at all or just slightly. It was just there to let the console characters on arcade and nerf Kokonoe (or more like finish her balancing)

2.0 was kinda needed imo, but the result isn't what most people expected. I don't know what people expected :d
